Excellent hotel and restaurant near Zagreb airport. Modern furnishings in historic building. Spacious and comfortable room in quiet neighborhood. Waiter extremely knowledgeable about local wines and made great recommendations for wine pairings with our food. Was given a free upgrade to two bedroom apartment! I arrived after midnight but there was still someone there to greet me when I checked in.The apartment had plenty of amenities, soap, shampoo, snacks, filtered hot and cold water, everything! Enournous rooms too. I also took advantage of their airport transfer service in the morning. Would 100% stay again

For a one night stop over ideal. I guess as a base for visiting Zagreb would have also been okay but maybe a touch too far from the city. That said it wasn’t too far from a supermarket and a bus stop to get into Zagreb.

Velika Gorica is a cosy town with a selection of good restaurants. I especially recommend the Mexican restaurant. It's not for young people who want to party, as everything seems to close at 9-10PM and in Sundays everthing is closed, even the bakeries.

I chose Velika Gorica because it was close to the airport, but could have easily spent another day there visiting the shops and cafes. It would be a great place to stay for a few days of downtime. Unfortunately, I was only there for one night.

The receptionest was very friendly and helpful. We were a couple of hours early and our room was not ready. We asked her if we could leave our luggage with her and go out for a bite to eat she was able to help us out. The breakfast was very good with many choices She also booked our transportation to and from he airport. The room was lovely, comfortable, very clean and close to the airport.

Perfect for a solo traveller or couple needing an airport...

Perfect for a solo traveller or couple needing an airport overnight stay in Zagreb. I liked how the host picked me up and dropped me off at the airport for a reasonable additional cost. He was friendly and pointed out where I could buy necessities and a good quality local bistro, both about 2 minutes walk away. The room and en suite were clean and the bed was very comfortable. There was a small fridge, decent WiFi and an electric jug, with cup, saucer, teaspoon and glass, plus a sachet of 3-in-1 instant coffee (1 person, 1 night ). A small grassed garden out back. Although there was no air con, a large, quiet but effective standing fan is provided. The room also had blinds and windows that could securely let in fresh air while keeping out direct sunlight and most flying insects (none came inside). The village is very quiet and safe to walk around. I had a great sleep and a good, reasonably priced meal at the bistro. There was a powerful-looking heater but at this time of year I was more concerned about keeping the room cool. It is smoke free and was well aired when I walked in. Closeness to the airport without airport noise or fumes is very handy. The one negative was I found the room key a very simple shape, but still a bit tricky to lock from the inside. The ensuite bathroom door is hard to fully close, but it closes almost completely so is ok for privacy between a couple. I could perhaps have shut it completely, but I didn't want to force it, especially as I was staying alone and didn't need to lock it.

Stay in this town only if you need to be close to the...

Stay in this town only if you need to be close to the airport for a very early morning flight. There is a bus 290 which takes you from Zagreb airport to Trg Krestnova which is centrally located in zagreb. Takes 30 minutes and costs 93 cents. Much better option to stay in Zagreb than Velika Gorica, where there is almost nothing to do.

The hotel was a one-night-stop on our way from Bulgaria to Italy and actually it was a very good choice - close to the highway and the airport, our room was clean and comfortable, the lady on the reception and the waiter at the restaurant were very gentle and supportive. The service at the restaurant and the food were OK. Definitely we'll be back there when travelling to Western Europe by car.
