We are a couple from Noway that stayed from thu-mon. Very nice hotel. Must be a pretty new hotell. Very good breakfast. Location is good and central close to the Opera wich is nice to use as a reference point. Metro to Széchenyi bath is close. Just use the opera station. Not far to walk down to city centre. Or use a kickbike. If we go back to Budapest we would probably use this hotel again.

We enjoyed everything in this hotel. We definitely recommend it to any family planning to visit Budapest. Very friendly and attentive staff, nice breakfast, beautiful design. They have small co-working and very cozy billiard room in basement. SPA is coming, but we were provided the access to SPA in Kozmo hotel. And you are just 15 min away by foot from Gellert therma and sauna.

Stayed here for the Sziget festival. The hotel is new. Room was clean, as well as bathroom. Location is not in the centre, but close to the metro station, it was easy to get wherever we wanted. However it was easy to get from the airport here by the public transport. Bus terminal was nearby as well, which was perfect for us. Staff was friendly

The apartment was very clean, spacious with excellent location very near to tram lines 4&6 or Metro line M4 and it takes you 20 min to walk to oldtown. The price was good for what you get plus you have free parking space in underground garage. Staff was extremely helpful and pleasant. When we walked in the room for the first time we were welcomed by complementary champagne. Learn by my mistake buy public transport ticket or you will get a fine 32 euros for each passenger.

FAQs about hotels in Budapest

A City of Two Halves

With a dome reminiscent of Brunelleschi’s "The Duomo" in Florence, the Hungarian parliament building is undoubtedly the icon of Budapest. It sits majestically by the Danube, the river that both divides and unifies the 2 parts of this capital city: Buda and Pest.

Overseeing Budapest from its vantage point on Castle Hill is Buda Castle. Spectacularly lit at night, it offers the best views across this attractive city steeped in World Heritage. Some unique points of interest are Heroes Square and the Museum of Terror, reminders of the city’s more turbulent past.

Much like in Vienna further up the Danube, coffee and cake is practically an institution in Budapest. And there’s nowhere better to try this than Gerbeaud - the elaborate décor alone makes this café well worth a visit.

To really feel like a local, make a trip to the thermal baths. The relaxed Gellért Baths are a triumph of Art Nouveau grandeur, while based on their sheer size, you can't miss the outdoor Széchenyi Baths. If unusual nightlife is your thing, the club nights at these baths are great fun.

With an impressive range of Budapest hotels, apartments and hostels on offer in this city of 2 halves, Booking.com makes your choice completely easy.

It's a very beautiful city, we enjoyed walking around and seeing the architecture. With the help of Budapest Cards we were able to visit many places, including baths and a museum. I definitely recommend taking an evening cruise on the Danube. To our surprise, the prices turned out to be higher than our expectations. We visited many restaurants, some were expensive, but some were simply amazing, for example, Paprika Jansen or Pork & Prezli, it was something delicious. And the last warning: Take care of your wallets and pockets.

I loved the architecture of the city and surrounding.

I loved the architecture of the city and surrounding. I did a walking tour with a guide which was very informative. Loved the Christmas markets and the atmosphere. A very good transport network. A cruise down the Danube is a must to be able to enjoy the splendour of both sides of the river, did a evening cruise with all the historical buildings all lit up. Lots of historical buildings to look around, take a comfortable pair of shoes as you can do a lot of walking. It's quite an expensive city compared to London, dinner at an Italian restaurant was the equivalent of £70 which was a lot for the meal I had which wasn't too exotic!

Interesting city and good for Christmas markets.

Interesting city and good for Christmas markets. With VAT at 27% things were higher priced than expected. Good that all public transport is free to over 65's. Building are amazing and well lit up at night. Even the trams had fairy lights all over them! A night boat ride is the best way to see all the buildings. Excellent choice for Christmas trip. Weather was very foggy but that did not stop exploration on foot. Temp was 8c top. Traffic is some of the worst I have seen in a city and walking was faster than Taxi in some cases. Trams and Metro are faster. I recommend getting a map of the public transport as Google maps did not perform well with all the tall buildings

Budapest is a dreamy destination during winter time.

Budapest is a dreamy destination during winter time. You definitely should go for the Christmas markets, the cruise on the Danube, The National gallery, the splendid churches (St Istvan with it's panoramic view and St Matthias in particular). The thermal baths are a wonderful way to restore yourself. Just make sure you avoid week-ends and pre-book couple of days in advance online to skip the queue. Also hungarian cuisine is a must try. The cuisine is rich and heat warming, perfect for winter. If you get the chance, try to assist to a concert of cimballom. It will enchant you. The city is alive and busy day and night and overall very safe. Some places accept also paiements in Euros. Enjoy the magnificent city and don't forget to look up to appreciate the stunning architecture of the buildings. Don't be surprised in winter, the sun sets at 4pm.

An amazing city, so much to see and do, definitely recommend a visit. We saw everything we needed but was full on. Need at least 4 days/week to see everything comfortably. Even managed to find 27 miniature statues. Recommend Danube river cruise at night Don’t miss Fisherman’s Bastion - what a magical fairytale place especially at sunrise. Make use of the free lifts and escalators up to Buda castle area. We walked everything and got the metro twice which was easy. Get 100E bus from airport to city centre, so easy and cheap. Recommend ‘26’ restaurant, Fabrico, Lisboa Cafe and the Chimney Cake Shop

It is a 5 star hotel but quite old fashioned. The rooms are not very modern but this is not necessarily bad. They are spacious and the bed is very comfortable.
