We recently had the pleasure of staying at Kubu Bakas, a remarkable homestay hosted by an amazing couple, Ari and his wife, along with their adorable children and energetic dogs. We cannot emphasize enough how sad we are to leave this place, as it offered a truly harmonious and peaceful experience. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed into their family, and we felt like a part of it throughout our entire stay. One of the highlights of our visit was being invited by Ari to join a ceremony at their local temple. It was an incredible opportunity to witness and participate in their traditions, and it left a lasting impression on us. Additionally, Ari went above and beyond to make our stay memorable by organizing nightly bonfires where we could gather and share stories. These intimate moments brought us closer together and created lasting memories. The bungalows at Kubu Bakas were truly delightful. Built with natural materials, they exuded a rustic charm while still offering modern comforts. We found everything we needed in the bungalows, and the beds were exceptionally comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep. The surroundings were serene and tranquil, contributing to our overall relaxation. After a day filled with activities, we always looked forward to returning to this haven of peace. When we initially booked our stay, we believed there would be no Wi-Fi available. However, to our pleasant surprise, there was reliable Wi-Fi in the rooms. This unexpected amenity allowed us to stay connected and share our incredible experiences with friends and family. Having traveled throughout Asia for over half a year, we can confidently say that Kubu Bakas is an exceptional and one-of-a-kind homestay experience. Ari, his wife, and their entire family created an environment that was not only comfortable and inviting but also made us feel like cherished guests. The genuine warmth and hospitality they extended to us were truly heartwarming.

I wanted somewhere away from tourists, where I could meet the locals. What a wonderful experience I had. Martin took me to the local market where I purchased fresh chicken. There is a minimarket a few steps away. A laundry across the road. Everything was nearby.

Just the most amazing, quiet and peaceful place in the countryside ! The traditional wooden house is like a cabin surrounded with exotic vegetation. As a guest, you have the top floor for yourself, it is vast with a huge bathroom. Coki, her husband and Jablan, their help, are the just the nicest and most welcoming people. They will do anything to help you have the best experience. Thanks to their help, I was able to attend the Odalan ceremony at the local temple. It was a once in a lifetime experience. I will always thank them for this. Also a super warung (restaurant) within short walking distance.

This hotel is an absolute dream. We had a wonderful stay at the pool villa, which was without a doubt the best hotel room we’ve ever stayed at. The staff was incredible, the kindest people always striving to give us the best experience. We did a massage and a cooking class at the property too, and everything was really great. There is also a free shuttle to the centre of Ubud, which is so convenient (although we basically didn’t want to leave the property because it was so great). We will be talking and dreaming about this place for a long time.

My experience in this hotel is amazing,,the hotel is new, the staff is very kind and helpful in everything. The room is very clean and every day they clean it very nicely. I'm very happy about everything. Also, the location is wonderful, surrounded by the beautiful nature of rice fields. I extend my days in this hotel ,I absolutely recommend this place
