I think I am spoiled after staying at El Tropico Hotel in Lombok! Service, food, location, price, room design, staffs, atmosphere...everything is PERFECT! We stayed at El Tropico during Christmas, booked 2 different types of room - one with bathtub and one without. El Tropico gave a free upgrade to the room of my partner's mom to the same type as a little X'mas gift. This is a sweet surprise and very heartwarming! Service was impeccable!! From check-in to check-out, everything was smooth. Staffs are super friendly and polite, every single staff went above and beyond to make your stay filled with happiness and unforgettable. 2 thumbs up for Wahyu (Front Desk "Santa Claus"), Egis, Sa, Dede, Fikri, Putri..... and all other staffs who we didn't have enough time to get their names. Thank you sooooo much for the top notch service. Food and drinks - yum yum yum. We had cocktail happy hour everyday by the pool. Breakfast - you have a menu to choose from but the options basically covers everything you want for breakfast, portion is big. Don't miss the smoothie bowl and avocado toast!! Choose the package with breakfast, you won't regret. They have 3 very clean swimming pools - a long one on the roof top which we stay everyday, less people and there are some cabanas for hotel guests, more chill out atmosphere. If you prefer some music, the ground floor big pool is fantastic, don't worry, it's not loud, just giving you a bit of tropical groove feel. The 3rd one is on the other building of the hotel. I am not a big fan of semi-open or open ceiling bathroom because I am afraid of geckos, which is almost unavoidable in Indonesia. Our bathroom is the semi-opened ceiling type, it's HUGE with a bathtub! I was a bit worried during check-in but Wahyu assured me there will be NO geckos in the bathroom/bedroom. I was so surprised during our 5 nights stay, I didn't see any gecko in the whole resort at all!!!

We stayed in a junior suite — spacious, spotless, and equipped with everything we needed. The room offered a stunning view of the ocean, and the location was just a 10-minute drive from Kuta Beach. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly throughout our stay. We also had the pleasure of meeting Mickey, the owner — a fantastic person who made us feel truly welcome. He was genuinely touched that we chose his villa for our honeymoon, and we were equally touched by his kindness and assistance. So truly, thank you, Mickey, for making our stay so special.

This is a cozy guesthouse with everything you need: I even extended my stay here! The place is exactly like in the pictures and description, and everything worked fine. It’s the small things that make the difference at Naia, merging Indonesian culture with western comforts: the welcoming and friendly staff, ready to help and find a solution even with non-standard requests (like re-usable ice packs for my knee post trekking, drop-off and pick-up with driver from the beach when I couldn’t drive myself), the touches to improve your stay such as re-usable water bottle for each guest, electric mosquito repellent and earplugs in your room for a more comfortable sleep, the delicious breakfast and their signature dragonfruit juice, and the small booklet in each room with ideas and recommendations for your stay! As a solo female traveller I felt very safe here even walking back in the evening from other places in town. I also took 2 private surf lessons with their recommended instructor and recommend him too.

Everything about this place was perfect. Luxury for good value too in the dorms. The pool is amazing the staff are amazing, nicest hostel I’ve ever stayed. A little out of town so a bit quieter. But still walkable. A little bit social if you want it to be but definitely also perfect for someone who wants to escape social hostels

I like to spend time there!

I like to spend time there! A lot of good restaurants, nice café coffee shops. There is a local market to buy fruits. The main beach in Kuta is awful, but the beaches around are stunning, such as Tanjung Ann (also for surfing), Tampah Beach, and Mawun! Paradise! Restaurants: La Cuna (Mexican), Elamu (great for a romantic dinner), Jiang Nan. If local – highly recommend Lalapan Amanda.

A bustling town with much to explore and many bars and...

A bustling town with much to explore and many bars and restaurants to choose from. When we come again (and we will) we would like to do more trips exploring the outlying areas. Our main purpose for travel was to attend a wedding at Selong Selo resort (also fabulous with spectacular views) so we didn't do much exploring this time. It was sad to see so much plastic rubbish on roadsides. The infrastructure, at the moment, does not deal with this but efforts are being made.

I loved how condensed the town was, everything was a short...

I loved how condensed the town was, everything was a short distance from each other. There were lots of nice cafes for breakfast as well as restaurants for lunch and dinner. We spent some days in Ekas which is very close to reach by boat, which gave us a nice balance between busy and calm.

A dusty beach town undergoing rapid development that has absolutely nothing to do with the local culture or architectural style. The beaches in the area are long, wild, surf-pounded beaches, as opposed to gentle, inviting beaches. Most were covered in litter and on some the sea was a soup of plastic. If you're into surfing and working out (and then strutting around showing off your abs and tattoos) and drinking matcha lattes, you might love it here. I found it pretentious, unfriendly and as a non-surfer, there was nothing much to do

Kuta Lombok is a dream.

Kuta Lombok is a dream. Way more relaxed than Bali, and way more beautiful. The beaches are unreal and the water is insanely clear. Great surf, chill vibes, and the locals are super friendly. There’s a nice mix of local food and cool little cafes, and it’s still not overcrowded. Loved every minute. Can’t wait to go back.

Pretty isolated.

Pretty isolated. At least the are of Novotel hotel with Mandalika beach No places to eat nearby. If you don't drive, then you can only eat on the hotel territory. Also, the adjacent places are quite dirty: there is a lot of plastic, bottles and other trash on the beach and places not related to Novotel hotel

The property is so beautiful and peaceful. The rooms were so stylish and clean. Lovely pool and pool bar! We loved the happy hour cocktails. The staff were amazing, so friendly and welcoming and always happy to help with anything like airport pick up etc! The location is great, just a 5 minute walk to many restaurants and shops! The food at the hotel was also very yummy! And the chill out spaces were stunning! Will definitely stay here again when I come back to Kuta Lombok!

The time spent in our Villa has been wonderful! Great location great services. The villa was very well equipped . The pool is not big but good enough for relaxing after a surf day! A big thanks to Putra the Villa assistant who has been a great support for the entire vacation solving and supporting for beach advises and our service request! The Villa is very close to Kouta nightlife but far enough to avoid noises ! Highly recommended!

Chill and relaxed place, easy to go with motorbike to all beaches around kuta lombok.Nice and clean rooms. Beautiful garden where you can chill. They even have barbecue once a week. You can rent surfboards and the can also provide surflessen. Many facitillities. Will come back for sure

Recommended place in kuta lombok, this hostel just about 50 m from the beach, the pool with the beach view was the best, friendly staff, you can also rent scooter with them to go around kuta, i recommend this place to everyone who going to kuta lombok, will be back for sure.
