The rooms were impeccably clean and incredibly comfortable, providing the perfect environment to relax and unwind. The dining experience was exceptional—Magnolia and the Club Lounge both offered incredible food that exceeded our expectations. A special thanks to Tiwi and Mila from the Club Lounge for their outstanding hospitality. Their attention to detail and genuine care made us feel truly valued. Additionally, chefs Haris and Nasrulloh went above and beyond by preparing exclusive meals for us that weren’t even on the menu. Their culinary expertise and personalized service were unforgettable. These individuals made our stay extraordinary and set a new benchmark for hospitality. Out of all the hotels we’ve stayed in worldwide, The Westin Surabaya stands out as the best. From the first moment we stepped inside we knew that we had landed in a special place, the beautiful hotel Majapahit, Surabaya. What a grandeur when you look around the large hall, excellently furnished, with wood accents, beautiful sofas and armchairs and special paintings that take you back in time. A smooth check-in with indeed only a small suitcase, and no one behind the counter wondered where the rest of our luggage was. Unfortunately, it was left behind in Singapore and arrived two days later. The room was as expected, spacious, clean, with a balcony overlooking the beautiful North Garden, where we were also able to experience some parties up close. Breakfast is a mix of Asian and European at hotel Majapahit and is served buffet style in the Indigo Restaurant, it is beautiful. The operation and service are special, sometimes a bit subdued, but always correct. Some dishes could have been a little warmer, if a lid is left open it cools down quickly, but it didn't bother us, we took the time for our breakfast, talking to each other and looking out the window at the busy traffic. Except on Sundays when the vibrant Tunjungan road is closed from 6am to 9am to all traffic and pedestrians, cyclists and children have free rein, we were there twice early in the morning and thoroughly enjoyed it. Mr. Kahar Salamun, the general manager, was present every morning and checked with various guests what their feelings and ideas were, an excellent way to keep in touch with what was going on, including with the staff. He surprised us on our 6th anniversary of our marriage with a small present. On the menu we missed a good portion of sate ayam, but we got that elsewhere.

We stayed in this hotel before and after going for volcano tour. We booked a family room which was really extensive about 70 m2 of the area with a large sitting room and bathroom. The food offered for the breakfast represented so many options from various kitchens that it would be difficult to taste many of them. The panorama view from the restaurant is spectacular. The staff was extremely kind and helpful when we were obliged to rearrange our stay. The hotel is well located with access to many eating options and commercial centres.

My last visit to Surabaya was about 10 years ago. The city had transformed to be nicer and cleaner. Shopping malls were excellent now, cleaner. Keep it up. Surprisingly bluebird taxis were still available, but driver's honesty was questionable at times (meter rates).

Surabaya is a good stepping stone for other places.

Surabaya is a good stepping stone for other places. We didn’t really tour the city, mainly because we had other plans around it. The air quality was a bit disturbing. There were a lot of accomodation options, which was good. Would recommend it if you want to see ruins nearby or fly to Pangkalan Bun (Kalimantan).

Well Surabaya has been improving a lot now, for example it widened the main road like jl Ahmad Yani and others. clean gardens, and traffic was not so bad actually. it is easy to get around. our fav resto is Beatus alfresco Grill N Dining for sure. it was a very short trip 2 nights but fulfilled the purpose of the trip.

1. Plaza Surabaya Mall, Tunjungan Mall, Gubeng train Station. 2. Many types of food. 3. Most of the time we move around with Grab. 4. Walking on streets if possible as too many traffic and less pavement to walk on safely.

Movenpick hotel is very clean, nice big rooms with wonderful, amazing & friendly staff Elsa, Shanaz, Mali, Tyas. Elsa the boss of housekeeping team made my room every day, clean, nice smell. Every night when I come to my room made me very happy, clean & nice smell. Good girl Elsa. Shanaz, Mali & Tyas were my guides. Everyday they arrange my trip & I really enjoyed. God bless there hearts. Mali, Tyas & Shanaz were helping me to order Grab& Places to visit. The best customer service, friendly with lots of smile. Very respectful staff & wonderful service.

Very beautiful hotel, with comfortable luxury rooms. We get a free upgrade of the room. Its located in a nice street with pleasant street life. Every Sunday evening there playing a band left side across the street. Surabaya is a nice green city with lot of music. Even on the train station in the morning there is a band. We really enjoyed our stay!
