Loved the quaint little town and the shops, restaurants and pubs available to us. Also, the grocery store was very well stocked and the SPAR there had laundry facilities that we so badly needed to use.

Plenty of excellent restaurants in Clifden from mid-price to expensive. Great coffee and snacks available at very reasonable prices. Good shopping and excellent craft/art/souvenir shops in the town. Beautiful Church with small but sincere congregation. Lovely clean town, adequate parking available.

There is so much to see. I'm a walker and we were able to access many great walks - mountain, sea and forest walks. We had a car to get to locations. Good location for exploring Connemara. Fabulous scenery. Plenty places to eat in the evenings.

A beautiful area in the National Park.
A beautiful area in the National Park. The little town centre was quite vibrant for such a remote area and lots of independent cafes and shops It was possible to do manageable walks (even for us oldies)

Cliftden was great with plenty of places to eat and drink.
Cliftden was great with plenty of places to eat and drink. There is a very well stocked supermarket in the town and the surroundings were very clean and well maintained. Getting a local taxi was a bit of a problem so we had to drive everywhere, which didn't allow us to have a drink in the town as our accommadation was about 3 miles outside the village.
We loved everything about the property. It was clean, warm, so well equipped with lovely additional touches such as fresh bread and cake.
It was a 5 minute walk to the beautiful village of Clifden.
we stayed 3 nights in the apartment at Buttermilk Lodge as part of a2 week tour of Ireland. The rest of the time we stayed in hotels and honestly, the apartment was our favourite place of the holiday.
ps a big thank you for the post that was waiting when we retuned home
The hotel is in the centre of Cliften very convenient to all Cliften has to offer and close to the sky road beautiful looped walk 15 minute drive to Connemara national park one af the most scenic areas of Ireland ihave ever visited staying thank to all the staff Witt alcock and brown made everything so easy would recommend this hotel to any one for a relaxing stay thanks you to all staff especially Sasha and nightporter james
Room looked exactly like the pictures. The location in Clifden was excellent as we were able to walk around and explore the town and grab a bite to eat in one of the many local pubs. Easy check in process. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook a few meals and even had the kitchen essentials like coffee and tea and olive oil, salt and pepper.
Central Station House is a lovely hotel. Wonderful staff, so friendly and accommodating. Buffet breakfast is exceptional and they are happy to make something off menu. Perfect location to walk to town center, pubs and restaurants. Signal restaurant in hotel is also great with varied menu, good pints and live music. Great value.
views over the bay are stunning, definitely worth getting a room at the front of the hotel…
food top class - delicious breakfast, amazing seafood in both the bar & restaurant…
incredibly friendly staff, hotel is comfortably immaculate…
pet friendly & extremely accommodating
great location, on the outskirts of Clifden…
Excellent property near the town and looking on to the Station House hotel courtyard so we felt part of the action yet still on our own. Lovely cafe "Steam" in the courtyard as well ad other shops. Spotlessly clean and, while we didn't cook, there was everything one needed for a great stay
This was a fun place to explore Clifden from. We biked most days and enjoyed the house when we were home. one thing to know is it is located only 10 minutes from town but it’s a steep hill to climb if you are walking. we found it healthy after dinner and music.
Apartment style setting in a room with a skylight, king size bed and large tv and a small kitchen across the hall. It was clean and comfortable. Very well supplied and an attentive host. We wished we had stayed longer to explore Clifden!
Beautifully presented accommodation in a scenic setting. Only a short drive further to one of the best views in Galway. Similar distance in the opposite direction to Clifden town centre. Ideal venue for touring Connemara.
Beautiful hotel, right in the centre of Clifden, perfect location. Lovely open fire to greet you on arrival, lovely friendly staff. Fantastic breakfast, freshly cooked, & plenty of it. Will certainly go back.
Nothing - The owner was extremely difficult and non accommodating. We had to book another hotel for the night because all the amenities were unavailable. I'm honestly baffled at how this hotel has good reviews.
The hotel was great. Clean, comfortable, and in the centre of Clifden. The stuff was great. Helpful in every thing I need. Thank you so very much. I'll definitely tell my friends, and will come again .
The hotel is nice, it has a decent pool, beds were really comfy, the staff was very helpful. Clifden is a perfect location for any Connemara adventures. Food in the Carriage Restaurant was excellent.
It's a beautiful part of Ireland and Ballyconnelly is near Clifden for shops, restaurants and pubs. The scenery on the coastline has so many inlets, rocks and mountains it is just amazing.
The location is great. Only a short walk into clifden town. Amazing hosts and the place was immaculate. Couldnt have asked for anything more. Great for a couples retreat.
Location was great. Townhouse is well furnished and excellent. Good place to come and stay a week. If you don't plan to cook, a b&b or hotel may be better.
