We stayed in Cork because it was central to other things we wanted to see. That was a mistake. Cork is just a big city. Not overly pretty, not much to do. The English Market is very active and interesting. There are many restaurants and bars. We accidentally booked an apt on a busy street, and it was noisy all night. I wouldn't recommend anybody visit Cork.

The city is very clean and tidy.
The city is very clean and tidy. A visit to the stunning University College of Cork and the lovely Fitzgerald Park can take about half a day each as they are both so amazing. There is a public museum and cafe in Fitzgerald Park. There are many lovely views of the River Lee both in the city centre and around. There are lots of green spaces and the people were friendly. I only went for 3 days on a business trip but would have liked to have spent much more time there to see the other sights of interest such as the Blarney Castle, Cork Goal and Cobh - where the lovely coloured painted houses are. Two weeks in Cork would be ideal for me.

Great genealogy and family history day was held at the Cork County Archives. Very friendly staff and excellent speakers. I did not know this was an annual event that they held there and I would recommend it to anyone interested in genealogy. It was well attended and I understand it will be repeated next Thursday 18th April such was the demand for seats. I hope to return to the archives for research and to attend their annual family history day.

The city was great.
The city was great. Lots of shops and places to visit nearby. There are many hills so bear in mind if your about travelling. The Old City Goal is up a huge hill so Taxi there and walk back (downhill) Taxis are cheap enough to use but some of them are cheeky with the prices. The weather was good for our stay but remember to take an umbrella as it often rains unexpectedly.

we stayed at little island and visited cobh, and spike island, did not spend too much time in cork city, just walked about a bit in the centre which was interesting, lots of culture and many shops too.
The staff is wonderful and very helpful - and the hotel itself is a museum of curiosities. We loved reading and browsing through the historical photos along the walls. I hope more people take a few extra minutes to do that bc it's pretty fascinating. The location is excellent - just a short walk to Cork's vibrant city center, and even closer to some SRO pubs (such as Sine) and great dining (Gallagher's).
Also, the breakfast buffet is really delicious (and suitable for vegans), although a bit pricey.
Amazing Customer Services, they called me before arriving to the property to offer a taxi service to Cork city centre. Every staff member was super friendly and accommodating.
Room was in better conditions than the picture on the webpage, I will super recommend this hotel for any stay in Cork, area was lovely and quiet.
Breakfast was continental + irish, not one or the other, both things. Amazing and delicious.
The property was beautiful and in a great location central to the city. The staff was incredibly welcoming and helpful. The two ladies running the hotel were amazing and really made our trip special. The breakfast that was included was hands down the best breakfast we had in Ireland, it was amazing! It was overall an amazing experience. Can’t wait to visit again in the future.
Fabulous hotel in a great location, close to the city centre. Lovely walk into town with lovely pubs and plenty of places to eat. Typical City with lost going on. Breakfast was good and had lots of choice. The room was very clean and comfortable.
Would stay here again !
It is a super nice hotel, with a good location. It is only a short 5 minute walk over the River Lee before you are in the city centre of Cork. The hotel is easy to get to by car and has many private parking spaces. Wifi worked perfectly during my stay.
Room size ok. Comfortable bed.
Breakfast selection was ok. We could choose between 4 different 45 minutes visits even though the hotel was far from fully booked.
Free parking just outside.
Buses to the city centre also going outside the hotel.
Fantastic location (so close to the city centre and the UCC main campus, lovely to walk towards both!), friendly staff, my room was spacious and very clean, I was amazed by the bathroom that is better than what I have had in many hotels!
The hotel and view are breathtaking. I especially liked the aerial glass walkways from the incredible bar to the hotel balcony restaurant. All overlooked Cork city and a lovely formal garden on the grounds.
We liked the location being close to the train station and the bus station. The hotel was cozy, chic, and modern. The breakfast was the BEST we had in our whole stay in Ireland. The waterfall was magical!
Excellent hotel, the staff were very friendly and the food is exceptional. The rooms are modern with lots of space. Would highly recommend if looking to stay in a hotel near cork city!
The check in at reception was very efficient and the staff were very helpful. The room decor and bathroom were very modern and clean as would be expected of a city centre hotel.
Breakfast was very good. Hotel overall is cute. Nothing exceptional though. Location is nice just because it’s a 10min walk from city centre. Staff was semi-friendly but okay.
