The quiet of the place, right next to the lake. The room and house were impeccable, but the best aspect of our stay was without a doubt our hosts, a very nice family that welcomed us with exceptional attention from the start and with whom we shared a great breakfast and an interesting conversation. We will definitely book again if we're on the area!

Absolutely loved our stay at The Canal Glamping! The room was cozy and clean and quiet, with a lovely view. The staff were super friendly and helpful, making sure we had everything we needed, they even had a gas BBQ ready for us. The location was perfect for exploring Roscommon and Westmeath. Our stay at Shannonside exceeded our expectations! David ensured we had everything we needed and was a fantastic host. The house is beautiful, very clean, comfortable and spacious. The location is very scenic, right on the river and within walking distance of some great pubs and restaurants. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return!

Very big and extremely cozy room in a nice, classic style! Everything was perfectly clean. The room creates a very warm atmosphere. Super friendly employees at the reception desk and the restaurant. Very high quality breakfast with a spectacular view into nature and old ruins! We really enjoyed our stay and the atmosphere at the Abbey Hotel - we are looking forward to future visits!

The accommodation was modern, spotlessly clean and quiet. We ate food in the bar which was delicious freshly cooked and piping hot. The staff were helpful and approachable. The location is very central, within walking distance to the bus/train station. There is a public car parking facility at the rear of the accommodation which costs €2.00 a day. Make sure to have coins as the machine does not take cards.
