The attention to detail at Pamba Heritage was excellent. We stayed 4 nights in the main house and the views over the river from both our balconies was spellbinding. The traditional Indian cuisine was excellent, home made and served by two brilliant young men. This was a true family based homestay and we were truly welcomed into family life. The bird life was amazing. Cayaking and shikara boat trip were experiences, showing us true life in the backwaters. This was an experience not to be missed. It had a tropical rustic feel to it. It is a home stay model, so there is a few villas on one property. The food was home cooked food rather than “restaurant” food which I really enjoyed. The property is literally on the river bank so has an excellent location. There is an option for a 3 hour boat ride from the property or kayaking, they can also arrange airport pick up and drop off.

An exceptional experience! This was an trip to remember for many years. A wonderful landscape and environment in the Kerala Backwaters and the trip on the boat captured all of the beauty and majesty of the area - both the wildlife and the villages, churches and of course the people. The boat was beautifully furnished, with very comfortable bedrooms and an area at the front of the boat to relax and lounge and watch the scenery go by. The food was outstanding prepared by a sympathetic and knowledgeable chef, who was always at hand to discuss the menu for the next meal and to tell us about the cuisine. The crew were unfailingly helpful and courteous. All of this contributed to one of the best holiday trips that we have ever had.
