We stayed for a week. the apartment was simple but very clean. We came looking for sun, beach and quiet and we certainly found all three. the sunsets were spectacular and the sea was clean, warm and and the beach wide and mostly deserted. There are two similarly priced restaurants within walking distance from the apartment. We ate excellent food in both, including a local fish called Leppo and calamari and the best homemade fries and curry. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Cancabcona is a small town, so it is best to keep your expectations accordingly. Apart from Palolem beach which is the biggest highlight of this place, you can go inside and visit places like Mallikarjuna Temple, a trip to Monkey Island, or boat ride to Butterfly island etc. Food on the beach was good but was not authentic goan. You can get a better price and more authentic food away from the beach towards the internal areas. It is located right next to the Palolem Beach. On the beach hotel sunbads available at no extra charge. Food in the restaurant is good but not stunning. It us ok. Room is spacious, nice and clean. Bathroom large and clean. Cosmetics and towels are available. Sufficient water pressure. Hot water available. Nice service, they managed to prepare room for me few hours earlier. The layout of the huts is incredible, even from the cheapest and furthest hut you can see the beach. Sand between your toes, plants everywhere, it's just a lovely calm spot.
