It is the perfect homestay to experience how the Khasi people live traditionally. The host, Kitborlong and his family welcomed and took care of us like family guests. They live in a traditional Khasi Hut (exquisite and rare) with a sloping thatch roof, surrounded by natural beauty - including two waterfalls within their property! The accommodation has been made in the same traditional khasi style (by the host and his father who is one or few remaining experts who have that knowledge) with modern amenities for the comfort of the guests. The roof of the homestay hut from within and outside is a work of art. It has all the comforts travellers look for in a homestay with the added bonus of tasty home-cooked (mostly homegrown) food. Our 5 year old son enjoyed the feel of living in a sprawling farm with a loving Khasi family, feeding chickens and star gazing. If you enjoy star gazing - it is a perfect spot with clear night sky and a wide view. It was a wholesome experience, and we would recommend it as a must do while travelling at leisure in Meghalaya.

The view from the cottage is exceptionally beautiful with mountain views. The rooms are very cozy, with comfortable beds, warm ambience and proper geyser facilities. The property manager is a sweet lady, and she helped us settle comfortably in our cottage and heeded to every detail we needed. It is also worth mentioning that the property manager waived our cancellation fee, even tough we had to cancel one night's booking at a very short notice due to road blockage.

We visited Meghalaya as a family. We found this place to be great ,the room and the service was very good. Food was tasty and the tour was planned perfectly. The rent and the food were affordable. The driver who was with us for 7 days was very cordial and sensitive to our needs. Overall we would recommend this place for anyone travelling to Meghalaya.

The location is perfect with well-equipped rooms beautiful scenery and peaceful environment. Good mountain view from rooms. Service was fast and staff well-supportive and polite. Food taste was awesome . The reservation manager was kind enough to upgrade the room free of cost into the first floor which has a good mountain view . Property was very nice, little away from the main town but nice view. Restaurant provided excellent food - both Chinese and Indian were good. The room was large, as was the bathroom. Excellent geyser. Bath stool was provided which is useful for placing change of clothes.

The owner was with plenty of hospitality. He helped me do a trek to Living Bridges and the rainbow waterfalls. He had contacts with drivers and guides. The room was spacious and well-maintained though the price was affordable. Hot water was available for a bath. It was just a 7-minute walk to the city center where I could take a shared cab to Shillong. The owner told me the proper fare.

I would highly recommend this hotel.It is located in a beautiful area on the hilltop in Cherapunjee,has live music and bonfire every night - English and Hindi songs sang by Albert and a lady(forgot her name unfortunatelly).Tattva spa provides amazing spa procedures,including massage.The staff in the hotel are very corteous and helpful.We had our wedding anniversary and the restaurant staff,Tattva spa girls and Albert had prepared beautiful surprises for us. This is our second time in this hotel and I hope to return again.
