We stayed only one night but this was one of the most beautiful locations. The room was excellent and our evening meal in the restaurant was delicious and generous. A standout from our 17 days in Iceland.

We had the house to ourselves! Which was absolutely unexpected but welcomed. The lobby was really cosy and the kitchen perfectly equipped. We love animals , so we felt very good on a farm. The host was really helpful! Booking app didn't send me important informations and for two days we had a problem with Booking services. The host was very kind and very helpful and made sure that we have everyhing we need. The hot tub was absolutely amazing, really hot which was great after a long day in the Icelandic weather. Thank you for your hospitality :)

The location is simply stunning. If you like beautiful scenery away from everything, this is the place to stay. The house itself is amazing and the rooms are lovely and spacious. We were lucky as the night was clear when we stayed there and we had the opportunity to see the northern lights which added to what was already a very special experience. I visited Iceland three times and stayed in various places and this was hands down my favourite.

Stayed one night only. Came in late and went early morning after. Very clean and comfy small room. Very quiet and good nights sleep. Cosy and lovely feel, as walking through grandmas house. Self service breakfast and coffee was very nice early in the morning. Enough choices for light breakfast. Had a nice chat with other guests, in the living room before departure :) Very homey feel. There was a hot tub and grill outside which we did not have a change to use, but looked nice. Environment beautiful with the winter sunrise in the morning.

Wonderful staff, excellent food, perfect rooms in a beautiful location. The staff is very welcoming. We had an excellent dinner of lamb with delicious sauce and vegetables. The view from our rooms back patio overlooks a valley with water and the mountains in the background.

We stayed not in Hofstadir. And that is the problem.

We stayed not in Hofstadir. And that is the problem. They have a dependance building like 750 mtr away from Hofstadir. Its like staying with the family with grandma overseeing your actions (really, she does). So be sure to book Hofstadir and not farmhouse. The family is very friendly and helpfull and the Hofstadir (not farmhouse) looks very nice with view over the fjord..
