Very nice well kept Hotel which is in the central of the town, staff very friendly and helpful 👍, I was provided a lockup garage for my moto which appreciated so much. The only thing I could ask for improving is that since in March was very hot weather the temperature is controlled from a central unit not from the room and couldn't turn it to cool instead of heat, but this is a drop in the ocean WELL DONE HOTEL CENTRALE I will be back.

I should probably start from the history of Tarantola - spectacularly entwined with that of Sicily - I read Filippo's book in combination with a day trip to Castelvetrano which gave a lasting and real perspective of the formative years. Filippo was beyond helpful in helping me figure out transportation and day-trips as I did not rent a car. Getting to Tarantola was an adventure, right at the top of a mountain surrounded by slopes upon slopes of grape vines. I imagine that during harvest there will be plenty of action to participate in. I visited just after planting so it was a lull period, but there was plenty of wind, sun, clouds and rain to enjoy the elements of nature. I was able to walk and enjoy the farm, the farmhouses, watch the wind turbines not so far off and interact with the staff. Francesco was a real joy to meet and befriend, he let me try my hand at making busiata and then cooked it for my dinner! Meal times are massive, you will be stuffed.

I loved this brand new apartment. It is a great location and is very new and clean. The bedroom is big with a cute balcony. Great to have a washing machine. The shower is large and great pressure! Keybox entry is a big plus, when you check in so many times on a trip sometimes you just want to let yourself in and relax. Up above is a terrace you can access with a nice view. I loved Alcamo, this is an authentic, super friendly town with a great choice of restaurants not drowning in tourism. It closes in the afternoon for a rest like all Italian cities used to do and it comes alive after 430pm. The view from the mountain above is lovely and it is SO close to beautiful coastline places.

There are some good places to eat in Alcomo.

There are some good places to eat in Alcomo. Moreover during the weekend at night the main square and roads were quite active giving off a nice vibe. The only problem was parking but in the end we managed to find a spot as well

Alcamo is the perfect spot for those who prefers less...

Alcamo is the perfect spot for those who prefers less touristy areas of Sicily. Lots of great restaurants, lots of churces and it felt really autenthic. Also, it has a great nature reserve on top of the mountain and it is only a short drive from the ocean.

The town is close to Segesta, an amazing set of ancient ruins including one of the very few intact (and no rebuilt) greek temples in the whole Mediterranean and a wonderful theatre from well over two thousand years ago.

No every single fruit of living in Alcamo had a chance to be discovered. We did not see The Natural Park of Alcamo, but both Palermo and beauty of Zingaro seemed to be more attractive to accomplish. Small city with a vicinity of Castellammare del Golfo/Scopello and its breathtaking views and beaches is worth to be place of accomodation.

The google map shows wrong position - you can think you will...

The google map shows wrong position - you can think you will be right next to the railway and roaring trains. The reality is that the room is in the middle of the quiet gardens. Our car was safe behind two gates. The room is amazing! Very spacious, nice, clean and cozy. Kitchen corner or bathroom equipped fine. We loved it so much we had to extend our stay. The owners, Nadia and her husband are very kind and nice people. I absolutely recommend this stay.

We stayed one night during a short motorbike trip in sicily. A simple hotel with natural thermally heated pools. The hotel also provided covered parking for our bikes even though they would have been fine parked in the external hotel grounds. It's an old hotel that has an outdated appearance but is still very clean and all functional. Friendly staff, equipped bar, nice thermally heated pools which could be used all year around

Whole hotel looked very modern, with free parking space in front. Room was spacious, it had very big windows with a distant sea view. The room was nicely decorated with AC, fridge and comfortable chairs. Very clean and welcoming, would recommend - great value for money! The breakfast was good, it was in a cafe downstairs. You could choose one of their sandwiches/croissants and a drink.

Filippo, Franscesco and Franscesca are the loveliest people. The dinners are superb, with a large array of local specialities. We stayed for 5 nights, as it is a good venturing point for Alcamo, Castellamare del Golfo, Zingaro, etc. Location is 20 min from Alcamo, in a very peaceful and natural environment.
