We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this property! The hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The room was spacious and comfortable, providing a perfect retreat after a day of exploring. The bathroom was large and equipped with everything we might need. Breakfast was delicious, with a variety of options to start the day off right. The view from the property's courtyard was spectacular, offering a serene and picturesque setting. Highly recommend!

Staff was truly concerned about our comfort, and made knowledgable suggestions for touring. The pool is lovely. In fact the entire property is loaded with unique artifacts. The shared kitchen provides additional space, as well as options for cooking.

    Was traveling for work but I wish I could have stayed longer. The recommendations for food were amazing with alot of locals. So I felt it was an authentic experience. If you want a place to chill, eat good food and enjoy fresh mountain air this place has it all.

    Very peaceful to look at the mountains while enjoying your...

    Very peaceful to look at the mountains while enjoying your morning coffee. Leave more time for communting to the property every day from where ever you visit, it is a small, winding road, a tunnell and not fun to do at night or after a glass of wine. I will look to stay closer to Pisa next time.

    Paradiso, because Ruota is a lovely village in the mountains over Lucca, wonderful views, nice locals. The road to the village takes some time, but the remoteness creates a relaxed atmosphere. Landlord Ninette is nice, communicative, available if needed, living at the property. Breakfasts were truly Italian (cheese, coffee etc.) The house is old, but nicely reconstructed. The place is not ideal for a noisy nightlife, but people looking for some weeks away from work and city lights will surely enjoy its quiet atmosphere.

    The location was great for getting to Lucca and surrounding areas. I didn't have a car, didn't need one as there's a good bus service with a bus stop that's 2 minutes walk from the Villa. Can get to Lucca in 20-30mins, and from Lucca by bus or train to other places of interest. The kitchen facilities were really good too. If you prefer to cook like I do, it has all the equipment you would need. Thank you to the hosts, very friendly and extremely helpful.

    From the very first moment we felt extremely welcome and the authentic Tuscan vibes coming in. Set in a really beautiful location and the staff treating us in the warmest possible way, it was all we needed to fully enjoy our time there. Breakfast made with love was one of our highlights :-) Took amazing memories with us from Relais Del Lago, definitely a place to come back again!

    Cosy little cottage in a large and beautiful garden. Location is perfect for cycling trips in the green hills of Tuscany, visiting Lucca and other nice towns with much to see. Very friendly owners. Any problems (e.g. seasonal arrival of ants) are quickly resolved.
