And 1 extra star for the attitude and professionalism of the admin guys, who actually lived these days with us and did everything to declare - La Minerva is the best hotel on Earth. The location is perfect and there are lovely views from the breakfast terrace. Breakfast was good too. Service was excellent at breakfast and throughout my stay. Ettore, the owner, is an incredibly gracious man. He was extremely helpful and gave me loads of great restaurant suggestions and trips to try. He sent me all the ferry times before I arrived. On my last evening I wasn’t feeling well and Ettore made me several pots of mint tea and toast. He was just so kind and helpful. A memorable stay. I hope to come back some day

Fantastic location and oozing with history. The staff are so helpful, attentive, warm and friendly. We received a generous upgraded room at check in and were also delivered a welcome gift of fruit and sweet and savoury snacks/treats brought to our room just after we arrived. Our room was so unbelievably comfortable, and maid service was perfection, always on hand to replenish toiletries, mini bar or assist to any request. We asked for plates to be cleared from our room on the first evening and when we returned, much later, our housemaid had performed a full bedtime turndown service for us, placing slippers at each side of the bed, drawing blinds, turning on bedside lamps and our bathroom was fully refreshed. Quisisana truly did welcome us and made us feel at home!! Breakfast was also amazing with a young violinist playing in the background! Excellent choices of foods at breakfast and a great variety of options.

We booked the room with balcony. Beautiful view 😍 Comfortable bed, hot water in very cold weather. Loved our stay. Staff guided us about places open for dinner as it was off season and most places were closed.

The breakfast was amazingly fulfilling with a breathtaking view to enjoy. The person at the desk was very helpful. There were some storms on the day of our return. We did not receive any mail from the ferry but the host told us about it and informed about the cancellation of the ferry. This was very important as, without this info, we would have been stranded and missed our trip to Pompeii that was scheduled on the next day. The host was very generous and the view from the balcony was mesmerizing. The place is highly recommended.

excellent lodge to stay in Capri. We are very satisfied the room conditions and locations. If it can include the 'breakfast', it would be a plus. Note there is a food market at next door, supper convenient. Highly recommended.

Capri can be crowded even late in the season.

Capri can be crowded even late in the season. The marina can become overcrowded and navigating from the ferry to your apartment can be a challenge. Skip the Funicular if the lines are long and especially if you have baggage. The porters do a great job, but the cost can add up if you have several pieces of luggage. Take a taxi to your hotel/apartment upon arrival to save yourself a lot of trouble.

Capri is great to explore via taxi, get up early and head up to Ana Capri, less traffic more intimate area. The chair lift is a must to the top of the mountain, and lunch up top of the mountain is amazing. Capri is nice in the evenings to walk around and shop with plenty of places to get cocktails, and explore.

The center of Capri is mostly shopping.

The center of Capri is mostly shopping. We went for a long walk. We enjoyed areas of the island away from the center of town. As soon as we walked away from the tourist shopping, we had the place to ourselves. We saw almost no one. That was a pleasant surprise. We also took the bus to Anacapri. I liked Anacapri better than Capri. Anacapri felt a little more authentic than Capri. I am glad I went to Capri but I don't feel a need to go again.

I would suggest to friends doing day trips, reason being it was expensive as expected, accommodation is a huge cost on top of dining, souvenirs etc. to me, ferry’s each day is better value if you want to spend a couple of days.

So glad we decided to grab 3 nights in Capri vs. our original 2 nights. Honestly could have easily stayed a week. First the isle is amazingly beautiful. Yes it gets crowded during the day in the main touristy spots but early AM or later PM it was charming. People were super nice. The isle rewards those who go a bit off the beaten path. Grab good pair of walking shoes and explore! We had fantastic meals at Lo Sfizio, La Palette Ristorante, both in our neighborhood, and Ristorante Isidoro. Don't forget a good sandwich at Cuccurullo Aldo deli too.

Our room was spacious and clean. The hotel is perfectly located in walking distance from major attractions in Capri like Marina Piccola, Marina grande and Capri city centre. It is also very close to a bus stop. The receptionist was very kind and upgraded us to the suite for free. We even took some drinks from the minibar and, when we informed her at checkout, she didn't add these to the bill. The swimming pool is small but very well maintained.

We loved the swimming pool, pool bar and sea views. A porter transported our luggage to the hotel as it’s situated down a steepish hill which is typical on Capri. Very spacious room with a fabulous view, great breakfast and very helpful staff. Friendly guests too. (Nothing to do with the hotel, but check the price of a taxi from Marina Grande to the hotel. Apparently you shouldn’t be paying more than €25-€30! We were overcharged!) 😮

Beautiful small hotel with spectacular views out over the coastline. Lovely authentic room, bed and pillows super comfortable, everything we needed including a fridge! We had a fabulous terrace with sunbeds and table and chairs, great to relax on when we weren’t exploring all of what Capri has to offer. Alex the owner is always pleasant and helpful and provides a delicious breakfast on the lovely terrace.

We absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Esperia! The location is fantastic—just a short walk from the center of Capri. The views from the terrace were stunning, especially in the morning with breakfast overlooking the sea. The staff was incredibly welcoming and helpful, always ready with a smile and great local recommendations.
