Gorizia ia a wonderful city to wander through on foot. The older part of downtown is well kept. The downtown area offers plenty of shops and restaurants to enjoy. I think it is good for about two or three leisurely days. There are a few sites to visit and Slovenia is close by. We ate at Peperino(excellent food and an attentive staff) and La Chincaglieria(sp?)(food and wine were really good, the atmosphere was lively, the staff was friendly). Gorizia is an undiscovered gem. It has history, shopping, restaurants and a great location adjacent to the Collio Goriziano wine region, with numerous producers of excellent wines. Mountains, forests, beach resorts and the Adriatic Sea are all within a short drive. Slovenia is right next door.Guest review byRobertCanada

Spacious, well-lit room with desk, wardrobe, TV, small fridge and good WiFi available. The heating of the room is done with the help of an air heater or air conditioner programmed so that every time the heating starts, a specific noise is heard that disturbs the night. In the bathroom was cold, the heater was turned off without the possibility of turning it on.
