Host and property were amazing. Giulio was so helpful, sent very clear instructions for check-in and parking and the property was available to us earlier than our original arrival time when our plans changed. Super easy to check-in with very clear instructions sent on in advance. Safe on street parking right next to the property. Facilities in the property are excellent, everything you could need and more. Very comfortable, with plenty of amenities near by - we visited the archeological park, the beach and took the train into Rome for the day. The airport is only 15 minutes drive. Highly recommend, and hope to have another visit soon!

Fantastic apartment, very clean, easy check in and out, fantastic location for Ostia Antica Archeological Park, Castello di Giulio II and Rome Leonardo da Vinci Airport!! Lucrezia was absolutely available any time, even when I locked myself out of the apartment at 7.30 at night! Lucrezia went above and beyond to resolve the issue, which I cant thank her enough for!!!

We chose this apartment based on cost and location. We often visit Rome and knew of Ostia Antica. The apartment was great for the week we stayed. The kitchen, bedroom, living room and the outside space are all excellent. We used the washing machine as well. There is free parking in the nearby streets, and plenty of nice bars and a couple of restaurants. The apartment is in a new build and is very modern. The main road to Ostia, the airport or Rome is very close by. The metro is a 10 minute walk away. There is a supermarket beneath the apartment block which is very helpful. Sara communicated really well with us.

One of the best solutions in the last years. This is not a hotel, but private home and here You really can feel You at home. I thank very much the owners for hospitality.     Ostia Antica Archaeologica Zone was Rome's key port for over 500 years. It is far larger and more historically significant than Pompei but does not have the same level of preservation. Allow three hours to see it well. Take the Shuttle from the entrance to the far end and walk back with the Museum and Cafe as a place to recuperate half way.

    Absolutely worth the trip and every penny - at least if you...

    Absolutely worth the trip and every penny - at least if you are a history geek and into ancient Rome. It's a massive area! You are going to be surprised at the size of it - pack water, food and sunscreen! Highly recommend audio guide / guided tour as you'll miss important parts and explanations if you don't. It's a lovely area and you can easily spend 4-6 hours at the park if your legs are up for it.

    amazing to visit Ostia Antica.

    amazing to visit Ostia Antica. However due to its short distance to the airport than Rome, formal taxi drivers refuse to drive and no option to pay with credict card. We have to pay extra to bribe the taxi driver to do us a favour, even through Uber service. They asked us to change the location when we apporached the airport otherwise he did not stop us even when we arrived in the airport....horrible

    On second thought, we must add more to our review. We asked before booking about the time to get to the airport(for a very early flight), and the reply was "It only takes 15 minutes and we'll show you when you get here." It seemed okay, so we booked. But, in fact, it was 40 minutes, in just regular traffic. And, the cost was by taxi for 37 euros. We had to run through the airport and arrived at the gate with only 10 minutes to spare!! Very stressful and unfair to us. When it said breakfast provided, we had to prepare it for ourselves. Also, the night before, we were told that the little town had several options for purchasing dinner but the options were closed. The place to buy ticket for the bus was closed, so we walked back the 1 km., maybe more, to get back. The hosts didn't seem to think about this. The kindness nature of the hosts made us accept the situation with good humor and we tried to be positive. However, in hindsight, we were disappointed. Although thee accommodations itself and the hosts welcome was fine, we regret to say we cannot recommend booking here.

    Well, IF like me you want be surprised with what you spect discover at almost 3.000 years place, OSTIA ANTICA really will amazing you! Even after visit similar places like Pompey , I’m amazing with Ostia Antica! If you have chance , take 2 or more days to stay in Ostia! And back tho the future with the PAST impregnated in your eyes, sense and heart ❤️

    I was visiting to watch the Italy V Wales Six Nations game in Rome. I honestly could not believe what an archaeological historic area Ostia Antica is. So glad i found the time to visit the Roman ruins.

    Breakfast was optional, mainly cornetos/croissants and coffee, so nice to be able to pay for only what we ate. Pool looked clean. Safe in room was bolted down, unlike several places we stayed. Staff very helpful about local restaurants and setting up shuttle to airport, but $50 for 20 min ride is highest we experienced in Italy or Greece.

    Great guests, communication was superb and always kind and friendly. The apartment was neat, super clean and located in a very nice area of Ostia Antica near the old castle (which BTW is easy to reach from the airport and directly conected with Rome with the Metromare). I definitely recommend casa Dalu for your stay.
