    Chiba is an amazing city and because Star Wars Celebration...

    Chiba is an amazing city and because Star Wars Celebration 2025 was held there this year, I had to come and visit. The city is only about an hour away from Tokyo and going there from Chiba was easy to do. Locally speaking, Chiba offers many different places to eat (some of the best donuts I've ever had came from a donut shop called Uni Donuts close to the hotel I stayed at) and a cool Anime hobby store.

    The Japanese community in Chiba is very helpful. You won't get lost. Directions are very clear and they have people at every post who will help you buy your train tickets and banks are easy to find to avail of cash. I want to go back and see more of Chiba in the future. I have seen only a few of the beautiful views and the weather is very nice and the food is very delicious. I can still remember the hot and delicious ramen that my husband and I were slurping after a walk in the park. I enjoyed filming the crosswalk the most where people crossed the street in a straight, vertical and horizontal, diagonal and curvy directions. It was so fun.

    Chiba zoo was great for my toddler.

    Chiba zoo was great for my toddler. Chiba park was a nice walk but not stroller friendly. We thought Chiba was a very nice place to stay but there isn’t a lot of stuff to do. We will explore southern Chiba next time.

    Chiba City is a charming destination with much to offer, but...

    Chiba City is a charming destination with much to offer, but it's important to note that some establishments, like hotels, may have strict check-in and check-out times, which can be inconvenient for longer stays. Nonetheless, the city itself has a lot to explore, from its rich cultural heritage to modern attractions like Disney Land. It's worth planning your visit accordingly to make the most of this vibrant and diverse city.

    The location was very near the Chiba station and the staff...

    The location was very near the Chiba station and the staff was very nice and friendly although we had a bit of trouble communicating. The room and the building were a bit old but the room was bigger than I expected.

    The hotel is in Makuhari Messe with its exhibition centre.

    The hotel is in Makuhari Messe with its exhibition centre. If you are going to an event/exhibition at Makuhari Messe then the area is good, otherwise it has no merits. For tourists better to stay in Tokyo proper. With a car there are a lot of attractive places to visit in Chiba, mainly in the Boso Peninsula but this hotel is a poor location as a base for Chiba travel. The only reason I booked there was that I had some local business.

    Staff were super friendly and helpful. I booked nights at 3 different hotels but decided on canceling my last stay due to the service and amenities at Daiwa Roynet Chiba Chou. On the last day after I checked out. I left only to realise I had forgot one of my bags, by the time I had got back to the room with one of the staff the Cleaners had already cleaned the room and taken the bag. The staff member ran around the hotel to find it. Brought it back with a smile. Awesome service.

    Very convenient with the train station chibachuo downstairs. Able to go to Chiba station 1 minute away which is a main transport hub. Downstairs in the complex is a pharmacy, good grocery shop, 24 convenience store and a 1 dollar store as well as a Starbucks and other eating places. Breakfast at the hotel is a mix of many cuisines and a reasonable price. Bed was very comfortable and room super clean. Laundry machines available. Bottled water every day in fridge.

    Receptionist / customer service : they are so great. Reply my enquiry fast in English. They settle about my booking with this apps administration so good. Easy communication. The whole staff in this hotel helpful. I love their room. Complete. Enough space and 10 mins walk to JR kahimakuhari. The event i attend at makuhari messe, there is access from hotel. The breakfast spread is good. Many choice than usual.
