Two days, three nights in Nagoya were perfect.

Two days, three nights in Nagoya were perfect. First time in Japan, sidewalks were wide and clean, so easy to get around. People are friendly even though it’s a big city. Loved the food. Bustling but not too crowded.

Nagoya has a lot to offer in terms of shopping and sightseeing if you like to see temples, castles and museums. There are also plenty of places to go shopping, karaoke, arcade and more. You might have to look for what you want to do, but its definitely a place worth visiting for a week. If you feel like traveling a small distance you also have access to places like Gifu Castle and Kogane Shrine and many more things further up north. And don't forget to bring any kids to the Legoland area. There are many things for children there!

We mainly went to Nagoya because of Ghibli Park.

We mainly went to Nagoya because of Ghibli Park. It was quite nice, but you shouldn't expect too much. The warehouse was worth it, but the rest was a joke, especially the witch's house, which you have to pay extra for. We visited the palace but couldn't go inside at that time. We saw the new replica of the palace with the newly painted walls. It was very nice to see that they are really trying to recreate these treasures and show them to visitors.

Enjoyed our side trip to inuyama castle - easy to get to by local train. Also a good trip to Atsuta Jingu Shrine. If you take a train on the Meitetsu Nagoya main line and get off at Jingumae station, an entrance to the shrine is just across the road from the station. (Main road, but there are pedestrian crossings). Didn't leave much time to explore Nagoya itself. Did get to Osu mall, which was quite interesting, but a little over-hyped we thought. Area round station itself was good compared with many cities - much more salubrious and more like being in a reasonably upmarket commercial/shopping area. Could certainly have happily spent another full day in Nagoya if our schedule had allowed.

Such a beautiful city. Surrounding burbs Awesome!

Such a beautiful city. Surrounding burbs Awesome! Put like this. Prada, Gucci, Lois Vitton, Armani, the list long. Why go to hectic Tokyo when Nagoya offers all the rich city life without the intensity of Tokyo. I was highly impressed. I have travelled a great deal. I liked this city better than New York, Chicago, Atlanta, LA. So beautiful, easy to navigate, wonderful to walk around. Surrounding burbs so beautiful! One last thought, all the US cities listed are dirty, trash laden, crime filled destinations. New York smells like a sewer, scaffolding that NEVER ENDS, piles of trash at night, a nighmare. I don't see this in Japan.

Great hotel for stay in Nagoya. Conveniently located about 10 minutes walk from Nagoya station. The room was small as commonly expected of most Japanese accommodation, but it was sufficient for a couple and young child. The staff are friendly and very accommodating. The hotel also offers breakfast valued at 700yen, which was an excellent deal for the breakfast items on offer, and free amenities such as toiletries and pyjamas for its guests. Overall, I will recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Nagoya, and I will stay again in future.

The location was great being very close to Hisaya-Odori Station which is only 3 stops from Nagoya Station. Also there were lots of good, affordable restaurants near the hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful especially at check out when I wanted to forward on some luggage to another hotel. I appreciated the reception staff filling out the paperwork for me. The room was very clean & comfortable and I thought it was great value for money. Would definitely stay here again.

You get what you give for the amount you pay for! The value for the price is good. It’s a good hotel and an easy stay. Breakfast was alright too, it wasn’t glamour but, it’s free and there is a family mart across the street if you don’t feel like getting breakfast at the hotel! Good location, about a 5 to 10 minute walk from the subway, which was 1 stop to Nagoya Station. Honestly I would stay here again!

Good location, close to Nagoya station though there will be a bit of extra walk to get to the airport line (Meitetsu, not JR). Room was spacious with an actual sofa and a couple of magazines/books to flip through. Room and hotel decor is modern, but the room is a little dark even with all the available lights turned on, and there is no proper writing desk (only a small round table).

10/10 hotel for 3 nights stay in Nagoya. Few minutes walking to Mirai tower and Sakae station. Room was decent size, plenty of restaurants, convenient stores and departments stores nearby. I would definitely stay here again. Great value for money as well!
