Being the centre of the Ryukyu Kingdom and hot spot during the Battle of Okniawa, there's still much to explore on other attractions around aforementioned themes if you go all the length to do research before the trip. Those spot may be just round the corner in the city area (Sugar Loaf Hill), or a bus ride to step out of Naha CIty boundary

The Shuri castle was under reconstruction.

The Shuri castle was under reconstruction. However, it was extremely interesting to see the details of the reconstruction effort, and how it was originally built. It’s an easy access with the Yui rail. We had lunch at the market, a bit of shopping in Kokusai dori, and dinner at a Okinawan izakaya.

    Naha is a small city.

Naha is a small city. You can visit all the main spots by walking and public transportation. Surrounded by ocean, Naha's restaurants can offer very qualified Sushi and sashimi. However, you shall pay attention to the weather as Naha rains a lot, which could ruin the day. If you want to do sea diving, you may need to plan early.

It is good for 3 days in Naha to see most of the attractions, shirujo castle though the main entrance Hall is actually a 3-D Painting Photo because the actual is still under re-construction, Okinawa world, the fish markets and kokusai street, shikinaen Garden, Senaga island, Sefa-Utaki and half hour drive to American Village. Then move up to stay at Onna or Nago for the other attractions for another 3 days.

I felt comfortable in Okinawa. Its people are friendly.

I felt comfortable in Okinawa. Its people are friendly. The local food was excellent. There was not enough time to explore the island at great length. However, I hope to rectify that with another visit. The next visit will be a bit longer!

Naha has so much to do.

Naha has so much to do. We used it as a home base for visiting outer islands and other parts of Okinawa. The people are friendly and laid back. We even enjoyed joining a local band in singing and dancing.

The Abest hotel is in a great location, being at the start of the main shopping street in Okinawa Naha. Close to shops and restaurants. Easy access to the monorail and buses. Staff are friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. The Abest Hotel has washing machines and dryers, which are reasonably priced and are very useful for keeping clothes clean and reducing the amount of clothing you need to pack. Monorail takes you directly from the airport to the stop near the hotel.

The hotel was very nice and comfortable... the rooms were large with space for a sofa. I liked that they offered a free bicycle service and had several washing machines available. Room service was also efficient and inexpensive. The location is fine if you decide to stay in the city, but the beaches are far away. Okinawa is large, so private transportation would be recommended to visit more places, including the north of the island.

Very nice place outside the noisy part of Naha, but in easy walking distance. Bus T02 from the airport gets you there in 10 minutes, and its easy to get busses to other places on Okinawa or walk to the ferry terminal. The room was great - it even had a kitchenette and a washing machine and a dryer. It was super clean and checkin and out was easy enough. Great value for money - would stay again if I return to Okinawa

Hotel is quite accessible with option for parking and a convinent store (7-11) on the ground floor. Very comfortable rooms and came equipped with in-room washing machine. A shopping centre and T-Galleria are just next to the hotel. Can venture down the road after the Okinawa Prefecture and Art musuem for more food and shopping (catered for locals I think). A quieter stay than on Kokusai dori.
