Amazing place. I slept in one of the best beds I had in one month and loved the (Western) breakfast. A nice change after all the Japanese breakfasts I enjoyed during my pilgrimage. The owner even helped me to bring back a small bag I forgot in an izakaya - most kind!

We were lucky enough to spent a wonderful time with our host, who speaks english very well. She was very friendly and had enough time for us to show us all the amenities and our wonderful room. Use your time to look at her art and what she sells of it, she is very talented, we've got wonderful pieces that will always remind us of our time there. Cold parts of breakfast were left in the fridge. The rice was ready in the cooker. I had to re-warm the soup myself. Very good!

This was well worth the extra money vs the usual hotels you can stay in in japan. The hotel comprises a collection of old town houses that have gardens and courtyards and are in the old town of Ozu . We had dinner and breakfast included. The dinner was a 7 course meal and we had paired sake. It was outstanding, the chef did a fantastic job with all courses. Probably one of the best meals we have ever had. The room was actually a two story house with a garden and was spectacular. Finally the staff were excellent and added to what was already a very special hotel.
