Overall excellent experience. Clean, well maintained (unlike so many other locations in Mombasa) and satisfying throughout a week’s stay. Beach area is cared for, swimming pools pleasant. Green areas properly provided. Breakfast most opulent and lovely atmosphere. Very nice rain shower in the bathroom. We surmised that seasonal factors could play into our judgment as the impression could be a bit different when the hotel is full. Praise the professional staff!

The room was modern, clean and well-fitted. I had a small balcony, comfy bed and large shower. The facilities are excellent…. The restaurant, food and drinks, outdoor seating areas and pool were all fabulous. The WiFi worked really well and above all the staff were incredibly friendly and kind. They went above and beyond to make sure my stay was perfect. This place is an absolute gem and I really enjoyed my time here.

In one word:AMAZING! Excellent customer service, staff and garden. We stayed now for the 4th time. The staff was attentive, professional, friendly, helpful and attentive. The property and grounds were picturesque. The grounds were very well kept. The details of everything is something to see. The fresh fruit and food was delicious. There were many good vegan, vegetarian options to choose from, which was helpful because I am a vegan. My husband enjoyed the meat options. The various amounts of drink options were also appreciated. Our visit to beautiful Mombasa, Kenya was an experience and our stay at Serena Beach Resort & Spa was an experience just in itself. I don't even think we had walked the entire compound as there were several areas for restaurants, activities, wine/cocktail bar/poolside bar seating and other multi-purpose seating areas. The steps that led us to the beautiful bech held even more opportunities to enjoy water activities, ride a catamaran boat out to feed and swim with the fish (look for Ali because he was wonderful), take photos with the camels, get your name carved in wood, and shop at the local pop up on the beach- so bring some Kenyan shilling. We got lucky and played football with the local young kids on the beach! It rained more than usual so we weren't able to hop on the jet skis this time. We truly loved every minute of my stay and have aspirations to return again someday. I am highly recommending Serena Beach Resort & Spa to anyone who is going to stay in Mombasa, Kenya. I am also recommending Kenya in general because it was a beautiful place with beautiful people. Thank you all so much for an unforgettably amazing trip! Asanti San!

The location of my apartment was the best. Distance to amenities like supermarket was good. The host was kind and responsive. The beach was awesome. Visited local restaurants at pirates with very good local food. Visited far away restaurant forodhani very good experience. I just have a problem with my kitchen 100%

Its an excellent good place, if only the road could be worked on quickly. Shanzi area must equally be developed at faster rate. We need a mall near Paradise Inn, the shops around aint good enuf

Mombasa is a very laid back city, theres plenty of water sports to do. The north and south are not well connected but you should find everything you need in each part of town you pick. We went to Shanzu beach and we loved it there, our friends went to Diani beach and they enjoyed it too. We loved planet yoghurt for their frozen yoghurt and also went to Char Chioma for a good vibe, dance and grilled meat. People are generally very kind so its easy to find your way around should you need help or local recommendations.

We were a small group of five, we particularly enjoyed the Tamarind Dhow experience, which I recommend for everyone! There's also lots of other options for when at the apartment. We arrived late but the manager Angie showed us a restaurant just next door by the beach where we had a nice meal, I had the seafood platter and it was good and fresh! Mombasa on the other hand can be hard to enjoy during the day especially because of the massive traffic jams and the bad driving, so moving around can be a bit hectic and draining.

Definitely do the tour of Fort Jesus and hire a local, official guide. Be prepared that this is a largely Islamic culture. Gentlemen covering knees and women covering shoulders is a thing. Also, alcohol is not as commonly available as other cities. There is a street food tour that is fabulous. Highly recommend. Very informative.

Winnie has a lovely home (I say home because that's what it'll feel like). Three minutes walk to the beach with a beautiful view of the ocean. A quick drive or walk to City Mall for any of your shopping needs. Directly opposite Kingston Hotel, who has fantastic burgers. 5 stars on the house, the proximity to the beach and public amenities, on the host and her on ground help. She, the host, was quick to answer when we reached out and was very accommodating to our requests. Sunrise views from the rooftop were breathtaking.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Wunderschöner Aufenthalt! The staff were the best part of my trip – so freundlich und hilfsbelreit! The swimming pool was sauber und privat, perfect for relaxing. Only a 3-5 minute walk to the public beach and close to a lovely 4-star beach hotels – super easy to access. The host arranged my transport and was always there when I needed anything. Sehr aufmerksam! The apartment was well equipped, comfortable, and gave real value for money. Ich komme gerne wieder!

Great view, friendly staff, excellent room service and a nice variety of local cuisine at the buffet. It's in the perfect location being almost exactly in the middle of the Mombasa island and Haller Park. Highly recommended if you're wanting to visit places in Mombasa, but if you're looking for a resort hotel then Nyali Beach probably isn't the best choice. 10/10 and I will most certainly be staying here again!

Spacious Rooms., comfy beds., cleanliness, nice pool and beach, food is delicious with each day varieties, very nice live performances at dinner, very friendly and helpful stuff, they made us an early check-in and a late checkout for free!!! Located in a quiet area of Nyali away from the hustle and bustle in Mombasa old town. It’s a safe neighbourhood and close to the beach. Room has a huge balcony looking into the top of the canopy with a glimpse of ocean. Ocean breeze was nice! Didn’t need aircon! Bed was super comfy!! Fresh towels! Host is nice and offered a drop of the the SGR terminus early in the morning.
