I loved the traditional style of this guest house and its quiet location out of the centre yet within easy reach. My room was simple but large and the bed and pillow very comfortable. The outdoor undercover area with water and coffee was really nice to sit in. Staff were helpful in providing information and a transfer to the bus station for minimal extra charge.

Bike&bed really has everything you need before and after your bike trip! It is comfortable, clean, the AC works well, there is a kitchen, warm water, filtered drinkikg water, laundry (can be also done while you do the loop), you can leave your bag for the time of the motorbike trip. If you book your ticket with them, you can take a shower after the loop before you get on the bus. Great advice on where to eat in the area, and adorable dogs in the hostel! They also rent bikes, we already had it arranged with another place but the others renting at the hostel had good experiences. Fully recommended!

The glamping domes are brand-new and exceeded our expectations. The bed, king size with beautiful linen, was without exaggeration the most comfortable I have slept in, in the whole of Southeast Asia. The domes themselves are very large with ample room to move around them. The outdoor shower was a delight to use. Breakfast was included and was brought to our tent and we ate in our private little garden area. It consisted of fresh tropical fruits as entree and a choice of crêpes or eggs and bacon as well as coffee. Really there is nothing negative to say about it.

This hotel staff is like angels We were in a problem and needed to go to the hospital at 11:00 PM we asked for help and they instantly took as with their car and even stayed with us to translate and chack that averything is good When we finished at 2 am she even got us food and took us back The hotel as an hotel is very good and in a quiet place With great facilities and clean rooms We couldnt ask for more

    It's worth staying for a day and a night just to see the...

    It's worth staying for a day and a night just to see the historic area with the French colonial buildings. The place was pretty empty when we were there and some restaurants were closed so it's not really that happening during the rainy season. Managed to get two nice sunsets which was a bonus because it was raining for much of the time we were there and we had zero expectations of seeing a sunset on the Mekong whilst in Thakhek. Food was average (but we didn't go to the expensive places).

    It's a great view of city and village life.

    It's a great view of city and village life. You do the loop and that some what sums up your trip. I did hit the Mountain you take a boat under and I took the "Back road" by mistake and ended up driving 58km though Laos villages Seriously the best part of the trip. I got to see a side of Laos 99% Of tourist never will so def. something worth seeing if you find that back road, its not hard to see if you do the loop backwards from what hotels advise you. the caves are great, Dragon cave is a SERIOUS hike, the first few caves just east of the town are barely 5 minute visits and are used for praying not so. much tourism.

    Right in the Center of the city Bike&Bed gives great value for the money. I was doing the Thakhek-Loop and rented a motorbike here. It was brand new and better than the one my friends got from the big renting company 200 meters away! The accommodation was also really good for the money. The woman who runs the place is really helpful in recommending restaurants and has also a good overview about how to cross to the Thai border and bus plans. Would definitely go again!

    Great hostel to start the thakhek loop from! Mr Noy was very helpful with renting the bike and giving me a map of the route with lots of details for great stops! He also helped me to book a bus ticket to Pakse and offered drop off at bus station and shower after the loop. Great stay, ຂອບ​ໃຈ Mr Noy!

    Cleanest hostel I’ve stayed in in south east Asia. Binh and staff work meticulously hard to keep everything spotless. Showers and toilets are cleaner than those in the west! Comfy beds with privacy curtains too. Binh is on hand for any questions on the thakhek loop. Highly recommend!

    Nice place to spend a night before storing your bag heading out on the Thakhek Loop. The owner is extremely helpful, she gave me advice regarding the loop, and wrote a statement for my insurance claim when I lost my Apple Watch!
