Wonderful host! So caring and nice. The host texted me before our arrival and sent one of the staff mambers to meet us and help us to reach our cozy house. The property was so clean and with an outstanding view. We did some lunch and dinner there and the food was perfect (coffee as well)! You can ask some fruit plates and juice - it was so fresh. We spent our weekend just enjoying the view and the environment but there were nice routes to hike and explore the nature.

Thé room was very good value for money, with hot shower and drinking water available, mosquito nets and food onsite. The staff were amazingly kind and even offered to help us by doing our laundry for free as we hadn’t had time to do it before. Excellent place to stay in deniyaya

Everything is great. Mr. Bandula, the owner, who is truly exceptional and a respected figure in Deniyaya town. If your plans include staying in Deniyaya for the purpose of exploring Sinharaja, he is undoubtedly the best and coolest guide out there who knows every single inch of Sinharaja. Their warm hospitality, home made food and the cozy atmosphere at Eco Villa truly make it feel like a home away from home. Highly recommended.

It was simply precious. Private , secluded area. The owners picked us up with a jeep, organized a jungle tour for us and gave us a ride as well. The family is incredibly hard working and polite, they try their best to accommodate our wishes. The food is amazing. No AC but it wasn't necessary as it was pretty cool at night.

One of the best stays ever, the family is very welcoming, helpful and nice, they took great care of me, always available through Whatsapp to assure my smooth arrival, the property is gorgeous, the scenery overlooking rice paddies is amazing, the room is clean and comfortable. The meals prepared by Umesha are delicious and the tour by Saman is great! Loved my stay here and recommend this property with closed eyes.

Where to start? Hemal is such a such a kind guy and the best host you can imagine. It’s a new hotel so I was happy to be the first client. The hotel is at the entrance of the park and besides the great and spacious rooms as well as great food made by his wife, Hemal is an awesome forst guide that spots animals from a distance away! I did both the night tour seeing loris, scorpions, deer and snakes etc. (be silent while he’s spotting) as well as day tour with a.o. endangered monkeys and a beautiful waterfall. Also, from the terraces you can spot a lot of peacocks and other birds in the front of the stay. He also helped me arrange a taxi a good price back. 200% worth the visit!

Nice rooms with a great view over the valley. Also the food is really good. We booked a rainforest tour by the hotel which was really amazing. Last but not least the owner is super friendly. Highly recommended.

I stayed at Sinharaja Pitadeniya Hut in Lankagama during our research work in Sinharaja, and it was an excellent experience! The location is ideal—conveniently close to the main road and within easy access to both the Lankagama and Pitadeniya entrances of Sinharaja Forest Reserve. This made it very practical for our research activities. The food was another highlight. Breakfast was included in the price and featured authentic local dishes, which were both delicious and satisfying. The host was incredibly friendly and supportive, always ensuring we were comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. The accommodation itself was spacious, clean, and well-maintained, providing a comfortable environment to relax after a day of work. We arrived very late at this magical place which was very close to the park entrance and they cooked us dinner, everything was delicious and the family was truly welcoming. The cleanest house we've found so far and an atmosphere that makes you feel at home.
