The place was very modern/ had a good aesthetic and was very clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They arranged and paid for tuktuks to/from the train station. The view was spectacular from our room as well as the breakfast area. Quick walk to main town area and tea fields which you can go for a wander in. Would definitely stay here again!

We stayed at the most wonderful hotel, and it honestly exceeded every expectation we had. From the very beginning, the manager went out of his way to help us organize our trips and make sure everything ran smoothly. He took his time to talk to us, offer advice, and make sure we were comfortable with every plan — something you don’t often experience in hotels. Our server, Ranawada (apologies if I got the name slightly wrong), was absolutely amazing. He was always so kind, attentive, and full of interesting stories about the food and the local culture. Every meal felt special, not just because the dishes were different each day and always delicious, but because they were served with such care and pride. Throughout our stay, we were surprised again and again by so many thoughtful gestures — both big and small. From the warm smiles to the little details that showed how much the staff truly cared, it all made us feel at home. Their attention to detail and genuine kindness were unforgettable. The rooms were beautiful, spotless, and so comfortable, and the location couldn’t have been better — peaceful and scenic. It’s rare to find a place where every single person seems to genuinely want you to be happy. Leaving was honestly bittersweet — I was ready to go home, but it was hard to say goodbye to the wonderful people who made our stay so special. We will remember this experience for a long time and recommend this hotel with all our hearts.❤️

During our recent trip to Ella, we had the pleasure of staying at Rawana Mount View and it was truly an unforgettable experience! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warm Sri Lankan hospitality that made us feel like part of the family. The owner and his assistant was really friendly and were incredible hosts. They greeted us with smiles, offered us a refreshing drink, and made sure we were comfortable throughout our stay. The food at Rawana Mount View is simply delicious! Every meal was bursting with fresh flavors, and we highly recommend trying their traditional Sri Lankan dishes. Breakfast was a highlight—especially the Sri Lankan pancakes and freshly brewed tea. Dinner was a special experience as well, with options that reflect the local culinary heritage. The meals are prepared with love and care, and you can really taste the authenticity in every bite. One of the highlights of our stay was the local guide, Mr Blum, that the owners introduced us to. He was not only knowledgeable about the area but also extremely passionate. We had a fantastic evening walk to Eagle Rock to watch the sun go down and his insights made the trip so much more enriching. His guidance and stories about his meetings with leopards were highly entertaining. Comfortable Rooms with Hot Showers The rooms at Rawana Mount View are cozy and very comfortable. The bed was perfect for a good night's sleep after a long day of sightseeing. The highlight was the hot shower—after hiking through the lush landscapes, it was an absolute treat! The rooms are clean, well-maintained, and provide the perfect balance of rustic charm and modern comfort. In conclusion, Rawana Mount View Ella offers an exceptional stay for anyone visiting Ella. Whether you're drawn to the stunning views, the welcoming atmosphere, or the authentic food, this place will exceed your expectations. What an amazing stay! We were there for 3 days. Our room was super spacious, clean and well-furnished. We had access to a cute balcony to watch the sun rise and the evening mist cover the land. The room stays cool when the days are hot and heavy. There’s warm water and a blanket for the rainy ones. We stayed in one afternoon due to the weather and it was very cosy. The owners are very welcoming and eager to help. They arranged a scooter rental for us and helped us define our itinerary. The food was particularly delicious, we ate there two nights in a row. The place is also very well located and you can start hiking to the jungle bird sanctuary or the ancient catholic monastery right from the doorstep. I recommend to take the stairs and go uphill to enjoy the breathtaking view.
