The house owner Mr Biren Mahendran is very cooperative when booking the house. And the location is very peaceful, beautiful and secure. Well sufficient for a family or a group. Rooms are well cleaned and furniture are modern. Having a modern kitchen with all the necessary equipment. Really enjoyed the stay. The caretaker Mr Kerthi was very much helpful and he's fluent in Sinhala and English. Worth the money. Located in 550m away from Jaffna-KKS road and 9.5 Km away from Jaffna.

One of the cleanest and most comfortable places we stayed during our travels around Sri Lanka. The hosts were exceptionally friendly and polite, making us feel right at home. The room was spacious with comfortable bed. Sri Lankan breakfast was absolutely delicious. We also appreciated having access to the kitchen fridge and the reliable Wi-Fi. Jaffna turned out to be an unexpected highlight of our trip — such a hidden gem! Highly recommended!

Best value for money. There are walls, gate, CCTV, an attached bathroom, a hot water shower, and A/C. Can park 2 cars. We spent 2 nights here. It's really good there. Security, facilities, and cleanliness are good.

We had a wonderfull time at Thambu Illa. Mathu and Sutha did everything possible to make our 3 night stay a pleasant one. They also organised a private guided tour of Jaffna and the peninsula. It was really worth it. The breakfast was according to our wish srilankan or western. Lunch/dinner is ordered from out and very tasty. They have reliable TukTuk drivers and tipps for Jaffna eateries on hand. We want. to come back!!

A very nice hotel in the heart of Jaffna, yet in a quiet location. The rooms are nice and spacious and consist of a living area and a bedroom. The restaurant is highly recommended. It serves very authentic and delicious regional cuisine. The staff is very accommodating, and Dinesh, in particular, gave us a lot of additional information. The hotel is good value for money, and we ate in the restaurant every evening and tried many dishes on the menu. The pool and gym are cleaned daily, and everything is very tidy.

I had a wonderful stay here. The location is very central, making it easy to get around Jaffna. Despite being in the city, it's a peaceful and quiet place to relax. The rooms are equipped with good air conditioning and nice showers. There are both ground and upper floor options available. Every morning, you can choose the type of breakfast you prefer, and the breakfast itself is tasty and fresh. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. I also had the chance to meet the owner we had some great conversations. You can really feel the passion behind this place, and it shows in the care and attention given to guests. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Jaffna!

The villa offers a personal butler and a personal chef for your stay. You can wish for any food you like and they will make everything from scratch for you. There is also a private swimming pool and backyard. The whole accommodation is five star european standard clean! Janakan, Mehkala and Ramesh took great care of us, we felt better than at home. Will definitely come back!

All staff were very friendly, helpful, warm, and accommodating—from the reception to the room boy to the restaurant. Our room was very spacious, comfortable, and clean. Our room boy, A. Sajanthan, was the best we've ever had. He anticipated our every need. The food was the highlight for us. We had a traditional Jaffna-style buffet as well as international dishes that we could order à la carte. No matter what we ordered, everything was delicious. Many thanks to the kitchen team. The service staff in the restaurant and bar were also very friendly. The staff always try to please you. No matter how busy and stressful the restaurant was, they always served us with a smile and never lost their composure. Our sincere thanks go to the catering staff: Pavithira, Sasiram, Kayana, Subaram, Elamaram, Kajeepan, and Rusanth. And finally, a special thank you to the managers Gobi and Sam, who were incredibly kind and made sure everything was perfect. We will definitely return to North Gate next year. Thank you again for everything.

We were on a cycling trip around the country and our priorities / expectations were met by the hotel. 1. Easy access to the hotel from the road 2. Simple and comfortable accommodation 3. Humble and supportive staff 4. Safe and secure parking for our cycles (The hotel was kind to provide us with some water to wash our cycles) 5. Easy check-in & check-out 6. Good food! :-)

Abi Holiday Villa was everything we hoped for and more! Nestled in a serene, spacious property surrounded by lush gardens, this villa is the ultimate escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. From the moment we arrived, the peaceful atmosphere—filled with the gentle rustle of palm trees and birdsong—made it easy to unwind. The villa itself is impeccably maintained, offering a perfect blend of comfort and style. The interiors are spacious, clean, and thoughtfully designed, with modern amenities (like a fully equipped kitchen and cozy bedrooms) that made our stay effortless. But the true star of the show is the outdoor space! The sprawling garden feels like a private oasis, ideal for morning coffees on the patio, leisurely strolls among flowering plants, or evenings grilling under the stars. Our kids loved playing freely in the safe, open area, and we cherished the alfresco dining setup surrounded by nature. Location-wise, it’s a gem—tucked away for privacy yet conveniently close to Keerimalai’s natural springs and a short drive from Jaffna’s cultural sites. The quiet neighborhood added to the restorative vibe, but we never felt isolated.
