We stayed at this hotel during our recent visit to Sri Lanka and have no regrets about choosing this location. It is very close to Chilaw town and at a reasonable distance from Negombo. The customer service was exceptional, and they were committed to making our stay comfortable. The accommodation was comfortable, and the hotel had impeccable cleanliness and maintenance. Basic place with a view over the water for a cheap one night stay. Food was good and they let us drink a few beers that we bought down the street offering to keep them cold in the kitchen. Overall nice stay with very friendly staff.

We arrived very late at night, but the team went above and beyond to ask for a late dinner for us also which was really thoughtful and much appreciated. room is extremely spacious, with a large washroom that gives the feeling of staying in a private villa. The sea view from the room is breathtaking and truly adds to the relaxing atmosphere. Breakfast was another highlight we requested a traditional Sri Lankan breakfast, and they prepared it beautifully. Everything was fresh, delicious, and well presented. The staff are genuinely warm, friendly, and attentive, always ready to assist with a smile. A special mention goes to Nishantha, who gave us incredible support throughout our stay and made us feel very well taken care of. Overall, this place exceeded our expectations with its comfort, hospitality, and beautiful setting. We would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable and relaxing stay.

Excellent location at sea. Very warm welcome from manager Mr Kumare. The view from thee roof top terrace is great, also to have a meal there (which is possible).

The meals were good and reasonably priced. The location was very peaceful something that suited my purpose of staying at Madampe. I was traveling as a speaker for a conference and this location gave me that quietness for preparations for the meeting.

We spent a few wonderful days at Twin Waters, hosted by Andrew, and the experience was simply magical. Nestled between the river and the sea—less than 100 meters apart—the place is a true haven of peace, surrounded by stunning nature. The nearby village offers an authentic glimpse of local life: fishermen, unpaved streets, children’s dance classes, a small church… And just 2 km away, the bird sanctuary is a true gem for nature lovers. Starting at 6 a.m., the sky comes alive with the graceful flight of beautiful birds—an unforgettable sight. The chalets are well spaced out, offering total privacy. The meals, both Sri Lankan and European-inspired, are delicious and lovingly prepared by Andrew’s attentive team. The staff are incredibly caring, and the fellow guests we met were warm and inspiring, adding even more magic to the stay. A true hidden gem, a timeless escape. Without hesitation: 10/10.
