Tangalle is a hidden gem!
Tangalle is a hidden gem! So many wonderful beaches around the town. I stayed by the Goyambokka beach but preferred the neighbouring Silent beach, which was longer and so beautiful. The town has very little to offer.
The town has very little to offer. It’s a noisy, chaotic typical Sri Lankan town. The only redeeming factor was Silent Beach on the Western side of town. We also enjoyed a nice meal at Cactus Lounge.Guest review byCornelisSpain

Delicious homemade breakfast is served here. There is a beach nearby, I liked to walk there on foot. you can also go to the city by tuk tuk if you need to go to the store. it's a great place and great people. Lovely clean and tidy rooms equipped with fans (AC not necessary as rooms are sheltered from the sun). The owners are extremely helpful and will organise transport and scooter hire at local rates. If you are looking for a relaxed beach holiday, this is the place to go! Beautifully located at an almost empty beach, a perfect oasis for talking walks, reading or going on a bike trip (free bike rentals!).
