We had a wonderful time! The room was absolutely clean, and the kitchen is very well equipped; there is everything you need for cooking, including washing soap, kitchen cloth, and washing machine capsules. It's very close to the beach, just a few minutes to the shop and train station. You can use the laundry room as well. The noise from the road can be quite loud, which may bother light sleepers. We would very much appreciate a coffee maker :) There is only a French press in the kitchen. All in all, if you enjoy nicely renovated apartments not surrounded by tourist traps, this is the place to go!

Calm and cozy house in a family owned garden. Perfect location to rest surrounded by nature. The beach near by is reachable by foot. It has many stones, so it's not that good for swimming, but it was truly no problem to drive 1-2 km for a swim. The host is really friendly and helped us with whatever we needed. There is no Wifi and TV has only local channels, but for us it wasn’t an issues, since we came there to rest and enjoy the beach. Near the location there are also plenty of activities to do apart from swimming. For e.g. there is a market that always happens on Saturdays even with some live music and local goodies to check out.

Very clean, everything new, big TV, place to sit outside with BBQ. Saltwater pub(the best food around) just outside. There were gig at the pub and we got free entrance because we were staying in Zaķi. On top of that we got 10% off there for the same reason.

Absolutely lovely stay, sad to see the hot tub wasn't filled as that was one of the main reasons we booked it, mainly quiet although the dog next door does bark quite a bit of the night, sheep in the garden are cool! Hob, toaster and microwave all available and outdoor pool is available but it was 1⁰c when we went!

On Friday morning, I had the bright idea to take my Latvian girlfriend to the beach. Without giving it any thought, I reserved a room for the night when I noticed how close they were to the sea. We left Riga and drove there right away, taking about an hour. We hurried to the beach after arriving, sunscreen and towels in hand. After basking in the sun for a few hours, we decided to head over to the main street, which is about a 10-minute walk away, because we were craving smoked fish. There, we discovered a place that sells local smoked fish of all kinds, including smoked eel. We returned to our bungalow oasis with our delicacies and drinks, and we dined on our balcony with a view of the lovely garden. They have the biggest jasmine bush I have ever seen, and there are plenty more bushes, ferns, and shrubs to test your botanical knowledge. Find the vinegar tree, if you can! The room was warm and cozy. We weren't expecting to see a TV with many sports and movie channels. Even high-end hotels don't usually have sports channels available. Although we could have used a few more pillows, I thought the bed was comfortable. Similar to windows in America, these windows also have screens on them. We kept the screened windows open at night to enjoy the cool sea breeze, and I didn't even get bit by a mosquito while I was there. The blackout window shades were a real bonus, as it gets light outside at 4:00 AM. The following morning, after putting on my hometown Cleveland Cavaliers hoodie, I made coffee and turned on the TV. I couldn't believe that the Cleveland Cavaliers were playing Orlando! Who could have imagined that I could have breakfast and watch an NBA game? We loved our stay overall, and the room was well worth it. We sat on the balcony for hours on end, taking in the sound of the sea and listening to birds singing in the garden. This is a great spot for a romantic getaway, a family trip to the beach, or a trip to have a barbecue in the garden.

We really enjoyed our stay in this Vasarnīca. The whole process from booking to key pick up was hassle free due to excellent communication from our host. The property was in great condition with everything you need provided. Beds are comfortable & house is in a great location driect across the road from a beautiful beach. I would highly recommend this for anyone looking to rent in Saulkrasti😁

    Easy check-in, very caring and responsive host. Lovely, light, modern and spacious apartment. Spotless clean. Apartment had everything you need for a short or longer stay. Lovely balcony! Very peaceful at this time of year at least. Markets and some restaurants within walking distance (due to autumn, some of them were understandably closed). While in Saulkrasti you should definitely visit Balta Kapa (White Sands) which is about 3 kms from the apartment. What an oasis!

    Great apartment upstairs of the host home. Spacious, clean, good facilities, comfortable bed, silence to get good rest. Location was about 5 km from Saulkrasti center and beach. Front of house have parking for the car. Especially we like beautiful garden there can relax and enjoy many plants and flowers.
