The Ocean Legend apartment residence is a beautiful and well maintained complex in which only three apartments are rented to tourists and all other apartments are owned or rented by people who live here. We made friends with some of them and had a great time and Apéros at the beach. If you want to relax and enjoy the quietness you will have a great time and we can highly recommend the beautiful and well equipped apartment from Olga and Roman. But if you want to party, this is the wrong place to go and you should look for something else.

We had an amazing stay at Barachois Cabana. The house is lovely decorated, well located, and full of amazing features such as rainwater shower, open living room outside, four nice bedrooms and great outdoor pool. The house is located a short privat walk to an amazing beach with fine sand and palm trees everywhere. We enjoyed the stay and can recommend the house 100%. My aunt was surprised of how nice the house was and also how amazing the beach was. So make sure to spend a lot of time at the beach. Everything we needed was available and the host was always reachable and there for us. Totally satisfied. Thanks again for the great time

We had a wonderful stay at Studio d'Artiste. Keivan is a lovely host. The room is spacious and clean, the view to the pool and the whole garden is beautiful. There is a small outdoor kitchen with a fridge and breakfast with fruits, bread, butter, jams and a variety of teas is available. We enjoyed our stay and had a lovely time there.

Amazing place, amazing hosts and great apartment. Fabrice and Pascale are really welcoming and warm. We ended up feeling we made new friends. They gave us great advice on what to do in Mauritius both before and during our stay. Fabrice called us in advance and gave us advice on how to move around in Mauritius, why we ended up renting a car, which made the trip a whole lot better. Upon arrival Fabrice took us on a guided tour in Tamarin to show us where to eat, shop and so on. We ended prolonging our stay even though we had booked another place in advance. We stayed in the penthouse apartment with our 7 month old baby and it worked out really well. They offered us to borrow a baby chair, baby cot and carry backpack for hikes. They have three sweet dogs, and we weren't worried for a second about them. They even came up one morning to say hi but only because we forgot to close the gate to our apartment. When the baby was put to sleep we especially enjoyed the roof terrasse. All in all we would highly recommend to stay with Fabrice and Pascale and we hope to come back one day.

Sure La Preneuse is the nearest beach, though If you're...

Sure La Preneuse is the nearest beach, though If you're looking for the best beaches around, take that trip to Le Morne beach, it's worth it. We went to the only Thai restaurant in the area,'Ousaporn', indeed an oasis in that small town, great Deco, felt right, the staffs were admirable, the food was succulent but portion were quite small disproportionately over-priced . A day at the beach at Flic en flac is worth the tour, watch the sun set into the deep sea, then hit one of the restaurant around the area.

Great first time visit to the Island. Beautiful beaches with a multitude of activities for all ages. Christmas Day boat trip to Ile Aux Benitiers, which included a tasty braai (barbeque) swimming with dolphins and snorkeling around Crystal Rock

At the Veranda Tamarin hotel - the only real turn-off was...

At the Veranda Tamarin hotel - the only real turn-off was that only one tv channel was in English - BBC World. All others in French / Creole. No mainstream music channels. Tamarin is a small village, full of friendly people. The atmosphere is open and you get the sense of tranquility and safety. It is centrally located for South and West visiting. something for everyone.

The brand new SUPER U, is fantastic.

The brand new SUPER U, is fantastic. You can get anything there, even gifts. The Coffee shop at the Super U was two times cheaper than the other Coffee Shops. It is not very expensive at the Super U. We ate at the Happy Rajah and the Casa Pizza. The food was fantastic.

The hotel has a nice spa, the activities were nice including Credits depending on the length of your stay. The staff is very nice and mostly helpful. However, the shower was broken and the shower door was leaking water so that every time we took a shower half the bathroom was under water. The baths and toilet were not properly cleaned and the sun lounger at the pool were dirty.

Great location, had everything we needed including a well-equipped kitchen. Great to have the TV and internet was good. Close to a supermarket and easy drive or walk to Tamarin. Close to lots of attractions in the west by car. Nice sunset view from the balcony, birds that sit in the trees and a well kept pool with sun loungers.

Nice a calm location. Very friendly host. They rent kayaks and serfs for free. Very few people on the beach. Nice walks on the beach up to Flic Flac. And do not miss the dumplings sold on the Tamarin public beach every day from 11-13

Beautiful house located just a few minutes from Tamarin beach. . Everything provided in the house has been very well thought out including a fully equipped kitchen. The host is very helpful and responsive. Highly recommend!

We have a wonderful vacation in Tamarin. Excellent stay at Esplanade. Wonderful views from the terrasse, the beach, just below, the helpful team with Frederic & Warren taking care of us. We will definitely come back.
