United KingdomFrom the start everything was super, communication with people before we traveled, they organised transfer for us, greeted us with nice refreshing drinks and gave us all useful information. We had room on the ground floor that looked at the bikini beach and sea. On the white sandy beach we had beach beds and table and chairs. Now about the sea (well ocean)…crystal clear water and part where you can swim and house reef where you can snorkel and see amazing colourful fish.
Staff was amazing (I am terrible with names), but every single member of staff was friendly and polite, from our waiter, Sri Lankan chef, hotel manager…everyone. They organised trips for us. Out of many different trips we chose 3. We had Dolphin Safari where we saw 100’s of dolphins and took amazing photos and videos. Then we had snorkelling trip to see turtles and again we took some great pics and videos. Our guide even took my GoPro and filmed us swimming with turtles. Unforgettable experience! We also had Night Fishing trip, where we caught many fishes, like tuna, barracuda, red snapper etc. Then they prepared most amazing beach dinner with our catch.
In the restaurant you have a choice between continental breakfast and local one (many times we had both of them). Also you can eat pancakes with various toppings and there was always cold juice and water. For dinner you have different choices, like various soups to start with, then various curries, rice and noodle dishes, fish, various ways of chicken, pizzas, burgers…and desert at the end. We were very happy with food.
I can highly recommend Belmars Beach and will definitely come back at some point, as we had a brilliant time there.

Rooms are large, comfortable, and well-appointed, with lots of natural light, great electrical and AC. Facility is simple but has strong design aspect that underlines the experience of being here. Breakfast is included with stay; snorkeling equipment also available. Service is excellent.

The Captai vila is very good place!
We were greeted with drinks and cold towels.
The guys had taken care of our luggage from the jetty to our room.
One of the guys, whom we called Johnny Depp, showed us around the island and explained everything important to know about the place,very very nice and friendly!
Very kind and responsive staff, always ready to help when needed. I shared before we arrived that I have a problem with coffee, I can't drink coffee which I don't like and I was offered a brand new coffee machine to use for the coffee which I had taken with me (coffee beans). The guy from the restaurant is very polite and kind, he made me coffee with a smile whenever I asked him!
The breakfast in the restaurant is not very diverse, but you will certainly not be hungry.
Their bread is great, it is baked on the island every day in a bakery. The island is great, beautiful huge palm trees and exotic water!
Our stay was wonderful, we recommend it to everyone!
I would like to visit the Captal Island villa again!

ItalyI just had an amazing stay at this guest house! The place was spotless, and the breakfasts were delicious—definitely a great way to start the day. Dinner was a standout too, with fresh fish that was out of this world!
The beach is just a few steps away and absolutely gorgeous. Snorkeling was a highlight, with breathtaking sights and a fantastic guide who found the best spots and took some awesome pics. I can't recommend this place enough for a fun, relaxing getaway!

From the beginning of the reservation until our departure, the accommodation manager was available to us. When we wanted to know something, he was always happy to advise us. This is how I imagine the manager's approach to guests.
Very pleasant and helpful people.
The room was large enough.
We always had a bottle of water in the room.
Clean accommodation with an excellent location on the island. It took us about a minute to get everywhere. A minute to breakfast, a minute to the shop, a minute to the beach.
We felt very comfortable there. I definitely recommend it. One of our most beautiful holidays in the Maldives.

CroatiaWe had a fantastic 5-night stay at Velana Vibes on Mathiveri. Although our flight delay caused us to miss the last boat, the host Munzir kindly arranged a night in Malé at his own expense and offered to cover taxi costs – a truly generous gesture. On the island, his assistant Imma took great care of us throughout the stay – from preparing delicious breakfasts to organizing our return transfer and even lending umbrellas during rain.
The guesthouse is modern, very clean, and well maintained. Our room was spacious, air-conditioned, with a private bathroom and daily cleaning. There’s a lovely shaded lounge/dining area, free use of a washing machine and a drinking water dispenser – thoughtful extras that made a big difference.
The location is perfect – just a few minutes’ walk to the bikini beach, local shops, and restaurants. When we were briefly stranded on a picnic island due to a storm, Imma quickly arranged a boat to bring us back. The hosts also offered a short buggy tour around the island to introduce key spots. They provide a variety of excursions and activities too.
Overall, Velana Vibes was an excellent choice – friendly hosts, great service, and a peaceful island setting. Thank you Munzir and Imma – we hope to come back!

United KingdomI have been looking for cheap, simple but comfortable accommodation and I definitely found it! Ever Blue Guest House has only 4 rooms with share livingroom and also terrace dinning and kitchen which I could use.
Room:
comfortable bed (I like hard mattress), small fridge, TV, AC, fan, hairdryer, spacious bathroom with toilet, towels, beach towel, drying rack, daily water. What else do you wish for? Room was daily cleaned which I didn’t need.
Breakfast:
They always asked me what time I would like to have a breakfast and what would I like to have (I am not breakfast person plus have GF diet). I end up just with eggs and fruit but have been offered pancakes, sausages etc.
Kitchen and dining area:
I could use the kitchen and make my own food, coffee, tea.
The great addition are also ceiling fans in dining area (they are actually everywhere) as when it’s really hot and humid this helps massively.
I have to say huge thank you to the owner for helping me when weather was extremely bad and public boat was cancelled. He managed to find a private boat to take me to my next island.
It was lovely to talk to him every evening and learn about his family, life on the island and much more.

Bodufolhudhoo is a small island, about 90 minutes away from Male by speed boat. It’s easy to walk around as it is not very big. There’s are quite few shops to buy snacks, drinks (no alcohol) and souvenirs. There are few restaurants on the island, but we didn’t get to eat there as we had amazing food at Belmars Beach hotel.

The island itself is quiet and small (300 m in diameter, you can go round with paddleboard in 30 minutes, if you stay outer side of the reef), has small number of restaurants and cafes, 2 shops. Go to the port in the evening to see how locals are fishing! People in the island are friendly, it is safe. There is also medical center couple steps from Paguro hotel. The island has new footbal and volleyball playgrounds with artificial grass, they are public. One net is also on the beach.

It has a very nice reef with lots of opportunities for snorkelling and diving in the vicinity. The place is a couple of hours of speed boat ride from the airport. One must plan the flights as the day is lost if arrivals / departures are between 11 am & 4pm

This island has the best house reef (even better than private resort island) and it’s in pristine condition. It has a lovely relaxed vibe. The service in cafes is amazing. Streets are kept so clean and tidy as the locals make the effort of keeping their island beautiful. Bikini beach is private and exclusive and not crowded.

I have never been to Maldives so I do not have any other...
I have never been to Maldives so I do not have any other island to compare with Bodufolhudhoo. From my experience though, I can easily say it was a great mix of local life and tourism. I probably would regret going to a resort and experiencing only the tourist side of Maldives instead of both. Beautiful island, friendly locals, amazing diving spots & great food! :):):)
