This place is pure paradise. Right on the beach, amazing breakfast, comfortable rooms and really nicely located so you’re a 10 minute walk away from the main downtown but far enough away so that it’s nice and quiet. The staff are lovely and really helpful. Love the little library room with hammocks and yoga mats. Proper filter coffee in the room was much appreciated.

Lovely island. Beautiful sunsets. Full of wild life.
Lovely island. Beautiful sunsets. Full of wild life. Very artistic with lots of murals throughout the island. Great tacos. Kind, chill people. Wish they would forbid the diesel fueled golf carts altogether. Would recommend to friends and family and even come back.

I wish this place would continue to be our little secret.
I wish this place would continue to be our little secret. It is small, quiet and a little bit more private that the other places we visited over the past 30 years. It is out of the way, which makes it more appealing to us.

We've taken three trips to Holbox and plan to go again next year because each trip has been better than the last. The people are so nice and friendly and accommodating. The places we've stayed have all been perfect for our group. The laid back, barefoot vibe really works for us. We've taken the 3 Island tour three times and fully enjoyed it each time. Taxis are readily available, and you can find something to eat by just wandering around town into any restaurant that appeals to you. The beaches are beautiful and the weather has been perfect when we've visited - hot but not humid. The island feels very safe. We will definitely keep going back.

The island has beautiful beaches with white and soft sand.
The island has beautiful beaches with white and soft sand. Island is pretty small and easy to get around but taxi rides are not cheap - on avg 150 pesos even for a 5min ride. You can rent a golf car or bicycles or simply walk. You can easily get around town by walking even if you stay abit off the town area but not if you stay at Punta Coco. Lighting is minimal with some potholes, making walking a tad bit dangerous at night. Activities on the island are quite minimal and the same is offered from one vendor to another. We went for the bioluminescence tour which was ok but is unlike what is shown in the photos. We then went island hopping the next day which we felt was a waste of money bcos there's really nothing much to see and not only did you have to pay for the tour, we also had to pay for the conservation, entrance fee to the island that had a cenote which were added cost and we weren't informed until we got there. As for food, I wouldn't recommend Roots Pizza, the lobster pizza was over priced for a measly portion of lobster meat. Had the 4 cheese pizza and you can tell cheap cheese was used. I do recommend La Casa de Nana for the food - great chef! As for drinks, highly recommend AMA Japanese restaurant for their mixology cocktails - super yums!

There is lots to see and do. And the Mexican people, the locals, are warm and friendly and very polite and courteous. And folk who work in hotels and restaurants are very professional and courteous and again friendly.

Holbox Island is a little piece of paradise, we loved it and would highly recommend it. If you want some beach time while in Mexico and don't like the noise and chaos of playa and Cancun(we didn't like Playa) then Holbox is the place.
Beautiful beaches, lovely restaurants water activities, great holiday.
You can walk around the island or get taxis. Taxi cost about 150 peso depending on where you are staying..
There are shops to buy food and drinks if you are self catering.
Definitely worth the extra money to stay at the beach! It is quite far to the center of town - it looks close on the map but it is FAR. The island lacks paved roads and getting around is only by (golf carts/ATV) taxis. Trust me, you don’t want to walk especially with a stroller. Maybe the best way to walk is on the beach. The hotel itself is great (looks like a dream at night!) and we went for the beach not the town so the location was perfect for us! The palapas on the beach are also wonderful!
The staff were extremely welcoming, helpful and flexible. The breakfast was incredible. The hotel was gorgeous and felt like an island paradise. Everything is so well cared for and it showed: the rooms were immaculate, beautifully decorated and the bathroom was spacious and modern + great water pressure! I loved all of the small touches in the room and around the hotel that made it feel completely unique and personal. We had a magical stay here and hope to return again soon!
This is a boutique hotel right on the beach. The setting is just beautiful. We stayed in room 1 and room 4 and both were perfect. Plenty of room, great beds, and bathroom. Loved the balcony to see the sunset and relax with a book. The breakfast is very personal and very tasty! There is a nice area on the ground level to sit at the bar, lay on a lounger or relax on the outdoor couch with tons of cushions. The staff is very attentive to all of your needs.
One of the best boutique hotels we've stayed at! The service was exceptional, the rooms were beautiful and it exceeded all of our expectations. I'm gluten free and they made sure I had delicious fresh gluten free bread available and even cake which I really really appreciated!! The rooms, service and experience were worth every single penny! I would absolutely recommend going here and we will definitely be back sometime!
We have been to Holbox three times, and lots changes fast on this island. So we tried this hotel and loved it so much we extended our trip by 8 days and ditched our other reservations! My Blue is perfect in every way, strong Wi-Fi, outstanding service, clean, great housekeeping, maintain the beach, strong air conditioning…I could go on. we usually don’t leave reviews, but we love this place so much they deserve it!
small and comfortable boutique hotel. perfect location. Close enough from the center but quiet enough to sleep 😴 . beach is two short walks from the hotel. personally I don’t think is worth paying for a beachfront in this island. you can use a different beach club everyday or just explore the island. Breakfast is AMAZING! staff is very friendly and helpful. shout to the restaurant staff, genuinely nice!
The location is close to center and the beach. And is only about. 8 minute walk from the pier.
The noise level isn’t bad even though rooms face the street. Top floor has a nice balcony. The rooms are big and beds are comfortable. Room had a microwave, coffee maker, and even a toaster.
Really liked that there are only 4 rooms in the place. So it feels more like a boutique accommodation versus a hotel.
Laidback luxury
Spacious rooms and facilities with views to ocean
Lots of lounging options both at beach, besides pool area and hammocks at most rooms
Good restaurant and excellent staff
Beach bar with splendid view
Quiet area
Connection between main buildings and beach is better than any other hotel in Holbox - you really feel like you’re staying on the beach
Stunning luxury boutique hotel on the beach. Very much monies worth. The food and cocktails at the hotel restaurant were delicious. Rooms were very clean and peaceful at night. The staff were great and had a turn down service too. It is further away from the main square but we wanted this. Also, complimentary kayaks which were a lot of fun!
Staff, they were wonderful. Very helpful, know the island well and provided accurate information. The beach bar is probably the best in the island, people come from other hotels to take in the sunset. Best location, walk to town, beach front, we enjoy ourselves. Do not miss the happy hour at the beach bar.
The decoration of the hotel was definitely unique.
The girl in reception was very nice with my girl and I.
She gave us a QR code to scan and get the map of the island and she proceeded to explain the points of interest in it.
What an amazing get away. The location is the best on the island and the team are lovely. All the benefits of being a small property but having the convenience of a larger hotel nearby which are part of the same group
The property is a small, quaint, boutique hotel with well maintained premises. The service was exceptional and the location is convenient and within walking distance to downtown.
The only thing that resembled to the boutique hotel name was the garden, rest of it was very blank and lacked the coziness what is the signature for the boutique hotels.
