Super friendly and always available host — early check-in was possible, which was great! The apartment has an excellent location — You need 25 Min to the centre by walk or 5 min with a super cheap tuk tuk. The place was well equipped, and nothing was missing.

This poace is like a fantastic little hide away. Stunning mountain and sunset views from the terrace and even from the bed!! The fireplace was a great feature too. Just a short distance from the town centre and we loved the whole vibe of the cabin, large bed, hot water shower , a fridge to keep our drinks cool . One of our best experiences in Mexico so far . Thank you to the host and staff who maintain the place so well.

Our stay in San Mateo Río Hondo was magical from start to finish. The energy of the place was peaceful and uplifting, and our hosts, Marian, Ale, and Opy, made us feel like family from the moment we arrived. Their warmth and passion can be seen into every detail, creating an unforgettable experience. The food was a highlight, with everything harvested from their garden—a true luxury. Marian’s homemade pasta was outstanding (and as an Italian, I have high pasta standards). Ale’s shakshuka was the best I’ve ever had, and Opy’s tea with honey was simply divine. Every meal was a masterpiece, prepared with love and care. The property itself was equally incredible, with breathtaking views and a beautifully decorated room complete with a cozy fireplace—perfect for cool evenings. The natural beauty and thoughtful details made every moment feel special. What truly sets this place apart is the hospitality. Marian, Ale, and Opy’s passion for their home shines through, turning our stay into a dream. This is more than just a place to stay—it’s an experience filled with warmth, beauty, and love. Everything! Located 25 mins walking (or 5 mins ride) from San Jose, offers an amazing sunset view just outside the property, and it is private and quiet. I think is the only place around with a full equipped kitchen if you like cooking is perfect. Has a nice fire place and hot water (just check the heating pump at the back of the kitchen if it doesn t get warm enough) (do not expect the high pressure though). And for any question or issue the owner is just a whatsapp message away. Wifi working.
