I booked by mistake, but since it was a non-refundable cancellation option, I keep the reservation and I must say that it was worth of 1 hr extra drive in one way as the location, the apartment itself and its equipment, the comfort deserve 10 in each of the parameters, I highly recommend it. I had a wonderful stay at this new container hotel. The property feels very fresh, with all the equipment and fittings being modern, high-quality, and well maintained. Everything was spotless and clean, which made the stay extra comfortable. The design is sleek yet cozy, and the riverside location adds a very relaxing vibe—you can really unwind while enjoying the scenery. There’s also a comfortable outdoor seating area with a fire pit, which made the evenings extra special. Sitting by the fire with the river beside you was an amazing experience.

Superb location a stone's throw from the ferry drop off point in Aurland. We were advised on how & where to get the mini bus up to the viewing point as well as helping us get to Bergen by ferry rather than ferry and bus. The attached bar / restaurant was very much needed after a long day travelling from Oslo via Flam.

We loved the location. The views from the cottage were absolutely stunning. The facilities had everything we needed. There is a bit of a walk up if you’re coming without a car or taxi/shuttle bus service, but it’s manageable.

The location was amazing! The unobstructed view from inside and outside of the fjord was more than we expected, our one regret is that we we did not spend more time there. If we are fortunate enough to visit this part of Norway again, we want to stay here again.

Aurland is a quiet town with a well-stocked grocery and an...

Aurland is a quiet town with a well-stocked grocery and an excellent bakery. It is not a port of call for the huge Sognefjord cruise ships, so it is not overrun by tourists multiple times a day. By car, the town is 20 minutes from Flåm, 35 minutes from Lærdal via the Lærdalstunnelen (the world's longest road tunnel, at almost 25km), and 2.5 hours from Bergen. A refueling station is located just south of town, off the E-16 roundabout. It offers reasonable prices for electric vehicle charging and petrol/diesel fuel. And, it serves the best homemade soup in the area!

Its a place which has lots of amazing things to do, every corner has a picture perfect view. In the beginning you might feel that 2-3 days are enough but I think you at least need 5 days. Good place to stay, we went to flam and Odda. Going and coming back from Odda was little bit hectic because it was raining heavily, the roads are very small, there are some places where there is only one lane, no two vehicles will fit. so be careful at such road. The nature is amazing, flam station has good food stall, I guess all major street foods.

Aurland is a beautiful and peaceful place with breathtaking scenery all around. The fjord views are unforgettable, and the surrounding mountains make it feel truly magical. Wonderful location to celebrate holidays through out the year . Fjords and hike added extra value to the journey . There is a lot to do and view at the place . There is a small supermarket called coop next to the flam station which is helpful to buy necessary items . There are 2 coffee shops at the bus station at Flam . I would not depend on restaurants at Aurland . Flam is only 15 minutes away by car from Aurland, so , it will be a better idea to have food or buy food stuff from Flam ,especially because restaurants are closed after 5-6 in the evening at Aurland in Winter . They say, restaurants are open for longer time during summer . Only problem is public transport . There is not enough public transport facility between Flam and Aurland ,so we had to rely on local taxi services . Lokaltaxi (the name of the taxi service ) was really helpful.

Great location with a fantastic view on the fjord, away from the hustle and bustle of Flam, however, can be slightly tricky to get around, although you just need to book onto the shuttle bus for a small fee in reality, so it's not that big of a deal.

Aurland is a small village situated in a beautiful fjord environment sorrounded by dramatic landscape. Flaam and Stegastein Viewpoint are in the vicinity of Aurland. The best way to see the fjord landscape is from above. Spectacular scenary.

It's a cozy cottage right on the fjord with an unforgettable view. in the heart of beautiful Aurland. Close to the grocery store, shops, and nice bakery in the village. The fjord sauna is right in front of the property. Comfortable beds, equipped kitchen. If something is missing they are willing to help at the reception if they can. Free parking is available. It's a perfect starting point for many trips in the area. I would recommend Fjord Cruise, kayaking, Flamm village, and Stegastein viewpoint.

We loved the location, although it is sandwiched between two road and a river the impact was minimal. You are in the middle of stunning scenery and it was a pleasant 15min walk to Aurland which itself was charming and lovely compared to the extreme busyness of Flam. The village bistro was lovely, good food and reasonable prices. The ferry pick up was handy and we also visited stegastein which was impressive.

The Skaimsberg Apartments is a set of holiday homes in the town of Aurland, close to major tourist destinations/ locations in that part of Norway. The host was really nice, and the apartment was beautiful, well maintained and had all the amenities required for a short comfortable stay. Note that the SPAR outlet in Aurland (~ 5-6 mins drive) closes by 8pm if you need to pick up groceries.

Really friendly and helpful hostess! When I called the contact number - they answered at once and the hostess arrived within short notice. Absolutely stunning views from the living room! We swam in the fjord surrounded by the mountains. An excellent choice of location if you plan to walk the Aurland Valley and cycle the Rallarvegen during your stay. Really nice kitchen!
