Bodo has much to offer visitors. It has a convenient bus service. If you enjoy hiking and cycling there are many routes in and around the town. Take the 40 minute bus ride to the beautiful pink beach, Mjelle. Take your bicycle on the Moskenes ferry to Lofoten Island for the day. I was here only one day and unfortunately during bad weather (not terrible rain, but very windy) but I still walked through the whole city and wish I had more time to go to the surrounding beaches and hiking trails. Although it was not my case, I've noticed they had several gluten free options in terms of bread, muffins, crepes etc - placed on a whole different table than the rest of the food.
