Everything. Facilities, homey, cozy, super clean. Milky way right above the huts. Couldn't be more perfect. We even met a wee tour guide that showed us the farm and the animals during the morning of the check out. Perfect stay to get away from everything. We will come back!

Mount Cook Village is a great location if you are planning to do some walks in the area. We did the Hooker Valley Track, Sealy Tarn Track, and the Tasman Glacier View after which we were exhausted and travelling to another location would have been a bit much. Staying at the village was the best decision. At night you can travel slightly out to get the most exceptional views of stars and in the morning you wake up to unbelievably beautiful views of mountains. If you are lucky you might just get some snow.

Hooker valley trek is the main attraction there and it is closed right now The alternate to that trek is the Sealy Tarns trek which is pretty okay There are not too many options to eat there so it is a better option to buy your own food before you get here as there arent grocery shops here as well.

We loved the convenient location of the mount cook village.

We loved the convenient location of the mount cook village. It was nice being so close to the hermitage where all the activities were based from. Even though the motel/lodge was less luxurious than the hermitage, the rooms were still very lovely (and had heated floors!). Although it wasn't the best value compared to other hotels we stayed in during our trip, the convenient location makes it very worth it.

Situated in the middle of the most fabulous senic environment Mount Cook Village offers a huge variety of shorter or day hikes that bring you into the fabulous nature of the Aoraki National Park. In this area with the nature that sourrounds you here you you can't be other than lucky having had the opportunity to experience this.

Very quaint little set up here so you need to be well prepared as there is only one up market hotel with cafe style restaurant during the day and a fantastic restaurant for dining costing approximately $80 per person for the buffet which was very nice. Outside of that there isn't anywhere to get any other food supplies apart from you bring. It is a stunning location especially when you venture out into the many hiking trails provided and come across the glacier lakes and rivers

We had a great mid-winter trip to the village.

We had a great mid-winter trip to the village. It never fails to amaze. Most food types are covered but be careful with your expectations as to what restaurants cafes or bars are open for eating and drinking in the winter period.

Wonderful staff! Many thanks to the lovely woman we exchanged with who has been so kind with helping us with our trip. Very lovely shared space and kitchen. Location is great and so close to the other hotel (5 minutes walk) that if you do not want to cook yourself, you can enjoy next door restaurant facilities.

Location with the views of the mountains and a quiet, away from the main road. Parking next to room, big modern room with excellent facilities and nice porch at back. Restaurant only a short walk away in the next door hotel, with spectacular dining room window looking up at the mountains. Wifi was good.

In Mount Cook village are no possibilities to go out at night. This is why everyone in the hostel is gathering in the community areas and as a solo traveller you get easily in touch with other travellers. Very clean, very well equipped. Even offer blankets in case you get cold.
