What an incredible place to stay! It’s the ultimate escape—so quiet and serene. The bed is like sleeping on a cloud, and the room is immaculate. The bathroom has everything you could possibly need, and there’s a delightful coffee station and a fridge at your fingertips! In the morning, they whip up a fantastic breakfast, and you can enjoy some great conversation before hitting the road. It's the perfect way to start your day!

This is a dream property with amazing hosts. You feel welcomed the moment you enter the gate. They have created such cozy spaces for guests and the provide great amenities like coffee and tea, toast and other small breakfast items. I appreciated the small fridge in the room, pressure in the shower and how quiet it was at night. I also walked to town and it was easy and fun. There’s a lot to do in this part of the world! Thanks for the great stay Lisa and Andy!

We had a private apartment to ourselves. Robert and Lisa had a little fridge with water and milk as well as a kettle, microwave and coffee, tea, and fresh muffins for us. Robert gave us great advice about where to go and eat in Picton. He was also kind enough to drive us and our luggage to the train station the next morning.

Picton is a beautiful place on a sunny day or the warmer months. There's plenty to do if you like the outdoors. It's very kid friendly with a great wee water park and playground. It's easily walkable with some great restaurants and Cafe's. If your a pizza fan then Scoozi is a must.

We were there for the annual Marina 2 Marina race which is a fun event to take part in. Picton is a nice place to visit so not just the town where you get the ferry to Wellington - it's way more than that! Good range of shops and restaurants to look at, great playground on the foreshore for the kids and a nice place to have lunch and enjoy the stunning view of the harbour. Plenty of boat cruise options that take you around the sounds and some good walks to do around the area.

Stunning views down the harbour and plenty of eateries and accommodation options. We ate at Cortado twice as we could take our Labrador inside & they had a fab dog menu! A beautiful drive across to Anakiwa. We’ll definately stay longer next time.

Picton is a lovely place to spend a few days.. or explore further. Irish pub up the road was good for a drink. Mostly did our own cooking but nice cafes around the corner for lunch. Handy bus stop across the road. Went to Blenheim for a day ( check the timetable.. doesn’t go every day) Walked to Waikawa Bay and back. Edwin Fox museum worth going to as was the Mail Run cruise. We stayed for 3 nights… arriving from Wellington by ferry… and leaving by bus for Christchurch.

In all reality, does anyone come to Picton other than to get on/off the ferry? However, this is a lovely little town, with plenty of eateries. Our room faced the harbour and was quiet and comfortable. Beds/Pillows are always subjective, but we found the mattress supportive. Very modern bathroom sinks and colossally deep - handy for bathing a baby/small toddler! We didn't eat in the hotel restaurant, but there was a varied menu.

The apartment was new and clean. Great location in the center of Picton close to the water. The host was very accomodating with bed options to host my toddler and provided a travel cot. We were also able to check-out later, which was great with the afternoon ferry we took back to Wellington. Communication was also very easy and answers were always quick.
