Quiet town with a lot of history.
Quiet town with a lot of history. Good restaurants many round the main town square. Bus travel is a bit limited due to there schedule but taxis are plentiful and travel in them cheap compared to England. Inability to speak Polish not a hindrance as many people in the hospitality industry speak English and will advise on food and drink choices if asked. Leszno is a pleasant town with a striking main square.
Leszno is a pleasant town with a striking main square. Cafes are in short supply (the main chains haven't reached here and independents only partially fill the gap. The Leszno walk (from the Tourist Office) was fine. Everything was pretty much great.
Everything was pretty much great. It was a smallish room but for the great price and nice location it was good enough to make me happy. I did not get to see much of the town as my back was hurting so I just stayed in my room except to go to the LIDL store which was about 2 minutes away. For its size, Leszno has quite a sizable offer of Summer festivals. It's green enough and laid back. Good number of attractions for children (mini zoo, WMB, new playgrounds, etc.) It's city center has quite the offer of restaurants with a couple of hip places.
