This place is in the middle of nowhere, but I’d still say it’s accessible for hikers like me. It’s definitely a unique spot. The property features a luxury-style pool that not only looks great but is actually clean and wonderfully refreshing. There are several chill-out areas with seating, along with shared facilities like a kitchen, bathrooms, and showers. The dorm room was well-maintained, with comfortable beds, individual power outlets, and reading lights. A truly special highlight was the alpaca tour – you can feed and pet the alpacas, and during the day or evening, it’s nice just to watch them from a distance. The place is also perfect for catching a beautiful sunset. The owner was very friendly and helpful, and communication was smooth and easy.

Vila Valmonte B&B is set in Ferreira do Alentejo and features a saltwater pool and pool views. There is a private entrance at the bed and breakfast for the convenience of those who stay.

My stay with Fonneke & Theo was excellent and exactly what I was looking for - remote, quiet, luxurious, uncomplicated. And thats what I got. I stayed for 2 nights and came back very relaxed. Everything is very well furnished, all around the property you find unique decor and well thought out design features. The room is very spacious and the bed is super comfy. I enjoyed the room service breakfast. As it is very remote, you do need a car, which I had, but for a full day I simply enjoyed the peacefulness, went for a walk and read a book by the pool. I can recommend for singles, couples or young families with small children (they do have a family house for rent).
