Everything, firstly communication, Soraia was in contact a few days before our trip and was so helpful. Making sure everything was in order, even offered a pickup from the airport. She left us water and goodies, and I could not ask for more. The apartment was everything we needed, perfectly clean, comfortable, and with Soraia s help, very easy to get to. Perfect Stay – Amazing Apartment and Host! I had the most incredible experience staying at Nicole’s apartment! From the moment I arrived, it was clear this place was thoughtfully designed with every amenity a traveler could wish for. The apartment itself is stunning—spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated, and equipped with everything you might need. The bed was super comfortable, and the Wi-Fi was fast and reliable, which was perfect for staying connected. The kitchen had all the essentials, so I could cook when I wanted, and the welcome snacks and coffee were such a lovely touch! The location was perfect—safe, convenient, and close to everything, including public transport, shops, and local attractions. Nicole also provided a comprehensive guidebook with local recommendations, which made exploring the area so easy. What truly made this stay exceptional, though, was Nicole herself. She was incredibly welcoming, always available to answer questions, and went above and beyond to ensure I had a great stay. It felt more like staying with a caring friend than at a rental. I’d recommend this place to anyone looking for a cozy, well-equipped, and perfectly located space with a host who genuinely cares about her guests. I can't wait to return—thank you, Nicole, for such an amazing experience!

There was a lot of space! Very clean. We even had a personal small garden. Awesome and caring owner. He was very helpful. There was everything could be in the bathroom. Even more than needed. There was a washing machine. The kitchen was well-equipped as well. The location was awesome. The supermarket was very close. Even the dishwasher was there. It was very useful to find all the info printed about the city, busses and sightseeings from the owner

Machico resort is not for the night clubbing holiday maker,...

Machico resort is not for the night clubbing holiday maker, It was however for us a slow paced setting with a good selection of restaurants and supermarkets with walking routes for those who wish. The harbour offered boat trips, whale watching and surf lessons, the latter was enjoyed from the safety of a dry vantage point. Local bus into Funchal for 2-60 euro single was 50 mins away which opens up further opportunities for excursions and sight seeing like the red or yellow hop on hop off bus tours which operate from the promenade where the ticket is valid for 24 hours allowing to to spend time where the mood takes. Weather forecasting in resort will not take into account the drizzle from the mountains with can add a cooling break from the sunshine and occasional rain. Enjoy.

A nice area to stay outside Funchal where I find it still preserves. We stayed in the best Modern Guesthouse, ate local foods in O’Gala and Massa Mia. They have two beaches. The rocky area and the sand area.

Nice small village nearby 2 beaches with all the necessary shops (supermarkets) and several restaurants. Away from the buzzling city. 😄 But by car nearby some touristic hotspots like Santa Cruz, Funchal, Cristo Rei, Santana houses etc.

Machico was good for food shopping, restaurants, and bars.

Machico was good for food shopping, restaurants, and bars. We didn't use the beach, but saw lots of people swimming. The town is handy for some great walks on the east end of the island. We even managed a walk to Porta da Cruz and back from town.

Machico has shops with souvenirs and snack bars and...

Machico has shops with souvenirs and snack bars and restaurants as well as a clean beach with golden sand and changing facilities. There is also a supermarket and bus station enabling travel to other destinations on the island. People are friendly and helpful. There are many places to simply sit and have a drink and a snack.

Great village with range of facilities, as well as sandy beach (rare on island) together with pebble beach and harbour. Lots of places to eat or drink out, car parking (some free as well), supermarkets, shopping outlets, places of worship and walking that is safe.

Excellent location, lovely clean apartment with everything you need. Perfect host who was very helpful, the wekcome gift of Madeira wine and chocolate was much appreciated. Machico really is the best place to stay it has restaurants, bars, supermarkets and cafes. Accommodation is about 3 minutes from the lovely sandy beach and next to the best bar with lovely, friendly owners. There is always a lot going on.

Great value for money, but only if you'll use the room only as a place to sleep. The cleaning lady comes every day and keeps everything tidy, however everything should undergo a renovation, from tiles to blankets and matrasses. Good thing is that Madeira is such a wonderful place that it would be a pitty to spend more time in a room, so who cares about an old bed?

We love coming back to this apartment - everything is easily accessible, the communication is always great and the stay in Madeira is always great because of it! The owner cares about the comfort of his guests and the quality of accommodation is constantly improving. I definitely recommend it! :-)

Freshly decorated flat, close to the centre of Machico and a 10 minute walk from the beach. All very modern, clean facilities, with a vintage Portuguese style to it. Our host was lovely and very helpful! Really helped that it had a drive, as parking in Madeira is a challenge.
