Such a stunning apartment, modern but at the same time didn't take the real beauty of Madeira. Apartment it's in a great location but you have to rent a car, it's only 2 minutes walk from the beach and local small restaurants and not far from other beautiful places. Easy parking, always find a spot. 2 lovely bedrooms, plus the joys of a little balcony with a perfect spot for a sunrise and morning coffee. Apartment was well equipped, had everything we needed. We came as a family of 4 and everyone was very happy with the stay. Very clean.

We spent three incredible nights at Quinta Marefe and couldn’t have been happier with our stay. The house is perfectly nestled between the mountains and the Atlantic, offering stunning views and a peaceful atmosphere. The combination of rustic charm and modern comfort made it feel so inviting, and the attention to detail was exceptional. One of our favorite moments was enjoying the BBQ—we had amazing evenings grilling and soaking in the breathtaking surroundings. The kitchen was fully equipped, making it easy to prepare meals and enjoy quality time together. The location was also ideal, with hiking trails nearby and the picturesque village of Paul do Mar just a short stroll away. Quinta Marefe is the perfect retreat for anyone looking to relax, explore, and make unforgettable memories. We can’t wait to return!

Wonderful comfortable villa in a quiet village with stunning sunsets and views of the mountains and ocean. Nearby are two fish restaurants and a bar with inexpensive cocktails. Free parking. All this added even more charm to our holiday. Special thanks to the owner of the house for his concern for our comfort, although we were satisfied with everything.

The ocean is directly in front of your bedroom window/terrasse. You can watch the sunset from the apartment, which has everything you need. Everything was clean and tidy. It is a really beautiful apartment and I had a great stay there.

    A lovely little town.

    A lovely little town. Away from the main touristy areas but easy to access everything you need to get to. There are plenty of cafes and restaurants and a supermarket and baker. Lots of bars. Ocean was perfect for swimming.

    Paul do Mar offers a relaxing stay however we found ourselves driving to funchal very often because most activities that we wanted to do was near the city. We would recommend Paul do Mar if you are looking to explore the west of the island and a relaxing sea side holiday

    This was my favorite part of the island.

    This was my favorite part of the island. The west coast is both rural and peaceful, but also lively and connected. It's a well-connected village, and a completely different world compared to the busyness of Funchal or the sleepiness of other parts of the island. Plus, the sunsets were amazing. I loved my time here.

    On the other side of town few other restaurants, in the middle great miradouro. Excellent views form balcony, property is just next to the sea. Garage included with all amenities, washing mashine, etc, etc.

    As the beach road goes nowhere, the property is wonderfully quiet. Although we couldn't get into the sea where we were, it was great to see the crabs on the rocks. The village itself is very pretty, with a couple of restaurants - O Ideal was the best!We'd been recommended this by someone on the plane whose mother has a property there! There is a little beach there, with a shower, but it hadn't been made very usable when we went after a bad storm and it was early in the season: all pebbles with a pool made for safer swimming. The people were all lovely and spoke English. It was a good spot to drive up into the hills to walk some levadas, go round the west of the island and to the north to swim there.

    Great for visiting the northern and western parts of the island, but really poorly organized village to accommodate tourists. Villa Amore is the best hotel in the area and Maktub the perfect bar to watch the sunset post trekking
