It was a lovely house, very traditional and beautiful. The lady who met us was so helpful and friendly. We unfortunately locked ourselves out in the garden patio area, so I had to go and ask her to let us in again, she only lives a few doors away, she was very sweet and kind.

Gorgeous Countryhouse and landscape, close to one of the most beautiful historic villages of Alentejo (Monsaraz), super clean hotel, lovely staff, great breakfast. Perfect to relax and appreciate the nature in the heart of Portugal. The infinity pool, spa and the details throughout the house and estate were amazing. We will come back! ❤️

Wow, what a gem of a hotel. This is a truly spectacular property that exceeded even our high expectations. The staff and service were fantastic and the place gives you an immediate sense of calm. The surroundings are absolutely stunning. What we also appreciated was that the food, drinks and activities were not overpriced, so you left feeling like you were not taken advantage of, which can be the case for a lot of high end hotels. The food was delicious and in beautiful settings.

Nice and spacious apartment with AC in the living room (if you leave all the doors closed but the bedroom one, the AC will cool it down as well). All the amenities needed (coffee machine, washing machine, microwave, toaster, oven, electric and gas cooker etc...). The lady was lovely, and the area was lovely and quiet with a beautiful view from the balcony. Very quick to respond to any of our questions, we even locked ourselves out at 9 pm, and they were at the place to unlock the door for us within 10min. Highly recommend 👌

We liked everything in general, from the cleanliness to the bathrooms, kitchen, decor, and the famous orange cake, which was delicious, as well as the fruit itself and the port wine. We visited the famous Monsaraz castle, went to the pottery workshop in São Pedro do Corval, but we loved the river beach with its excellent facilities.

A peaceful area with several houses for local accommodation.

A peaceful area with several houses for local accommodation. The Gato Preto restaurant is very good. Very close to Monsaraz Castle, the Alqueva beaches, and the Alqueva lake observatory. A fairly central area for exploring that region of Alentejo. A visit to the observatory is essential.

A typical Alentejo accommodation in a very quiet location!

A typical Alentejo accommodation in a very quiet location! Many points of interest less than half an hour away by car! I recommend the Alqueva Observatory, Monsaraz (walled village), the river beach on the Alqueva, Mourão, Reguengos de Monsaraz with its cromlechs and São Pedro do Corval with its pottery! I will definitely return!
