We spent one week here so we could explore the Douro Valley. We had a large two bedroom apartment with a huge balcony from which are excellent views of villages, farms and mountains. The kitchen was fully equipped so we could have all of our main meals there. The double bedroom and separate lounge room both opened to the balcony, which was wonderful. It also has a smaller bedroom we didn't use. It was clean and comfortably furnished. The neighbours were friendly and its a short walk down the hill to a great Cafe and supermarket. It's in a quiet rural location, away from the tourist hordes.

The staff surprised us with cake and a bottle of wine on our arrival (it was my husband's bday). Beautiful hotel, spectacular views, great food, friendly staff, a chef's garden, vineyard and relaxing pools and spa. We enjoyed our time relaxing. What a wonderful treat after walking the camino portugese. The sommelier, Ferminio, was so friendly and kind. We will recommend to friends and family.

The care and kindness with which the staff took care of us 🍀 You really feel they are there to make your trip a special one! From the suggestions, the welcome gift (some foody treats), making sure they the room was warm enough for us at all times and just being kind, happy and welcoming, this was really the high point of the stay! Nevertheless, everything else is also top notch! We had one of the best breakfasts ever! The beautiful surrounding of this particular “little village” that we luckily had all for ourselves (we were the only guests). The house were we stayed was fully equipped and super comfortable! We are definitely coming back in the summer 🌞

The house in which the apartments are located shows great taste in decoration and colour. It breathes cosiness and calm. In the big garden you 'll find a pool, deckchairs, a barbecue and other sitting possibilities. Our room had everything needed for a comfortable stay, coffee machine, and a fantastic shower. We would recommend it strongly. There is also a super restaurant at 400m from the apartment, the X Douro. Have a look yourself!
