This lovely farmhouse type is just gorgeous, and the host Tania is wonderful, friendly, and extremely helpful. The surroundings at the foot of the old castle are just breathtaking with infinite views of the countryside. Breakfast prepared by Tania was one of the best breakfasts we had during our trip with a variety of breads, jams, fruits, juices, scrambled eggs etc. We would go back to Castello do Rodrigo just to stay back and Casa Amendoeira.

Such a beautiful B&B. The staff was amazing. It is located in the old castle town. Beautiful and feels like you went back in time. We had dinner which was a home cooked meal.

Super helpful staff - we turned up late with 4 e-bikes that needed charging over night and they went out of their way to make it possible. Late excellent dinner, comfy rooms, great breakfast and cool art deco interior

The room was really comfy, and the blackout window shades were a big win – they made a huge difference to our sleep. The AC warmed the room up nicely, which was just what we needed. The hotel is super pet-friendly – my dog absolutely loved it. But the best part was the breakfast. There was A LOT of food and everything was really delicious. Also, a small but cosy details in the room were the locally made wool blankets.

This is a meticulously restored home that has been turned into a guest house. Pedro is a fabulous host who woke early to serve us breakfast at 5.30.
