For us it was very convenient because we were passing by on the car. We booked with that in mind but it ended up being the best decision ever. Rooms very comfortable and the highlight was the receptionist, he is amazing! He knows Spanish and we talked a lot with him, he is definitely the greatest person in all Deva!!

Very friendly, welcoming staff. We arrived just after midnight and there was no problem to check-in so late. It was very nice and refreshing after driving for 3 days. What we loved was the home made breakfast- a table full of freshly prepared club sandwiches, pancakes apart of the common slices of salami and cheese which are offered at every buffet breakfast. We got a room for 4 which had 2 kings size beds and a jacuzzi in the bathroom. It was great value for money, we got a last minute booking discount and the treatment from the staff was fantastic. We definitely recommend it and we are looking forward to coming back there.

Great place to visit.

Great place to visit. Historical buildings and great overall city atmosphere. Very easy to get around but if you want to travel around the city the bus station takes everywhere you want to go. There is bus stations literally everywhere. The castles worth to visit allot of Dacian history that I enjoyed. There are allot of restaurants with local and international cuisine. Very impressed with the Romanian food. Great taste and people were very friendly. I def recommend anyone to visit Deva. You can play football, you can go swimming at resorts, you can go hiking in the mountains, you can bicycle, you can visit museums or have a park visit. Very interesting place. Pensions and small hotels have literally the best services in the EU. I never seen so much diversity and options in any other city like Deva. The standard is very high. Good quality bedding conditions and top customer service. For me Brasov and Deva are the best in Romania.

Deva has everything and more, to make you stay more . We loved the history Cetatea Deva, the park, the shoping opportunites, the Aqualand(not modern but the energy was relaxing so we made the most). Deva it is a must to visit .

Deva was a nice city to visit.

Deva was a nice city to visit. The attractions I enjoyed most were Giardini di Zoe (very scenic garden), the city centre, the Corvins' Castle in Hundeoara, Sarmizegetusa Ulpia Traiana, the "Prislop" monastery and last but not least, Germisara, where we discovered the roman thermal baths and saw the "Clocota" waterfall. The best restaurant I got to eat at in Deva was Bord 13.

Deva, it's a lovely town (about 60,000 people) very important for the locals and you can see the locals in their ordinary life. Not much to see; lovely restaurants, a nice small fortress, and friendly people.

Staying at Villa Venus was like staying with friends... in a splendid large mansion. I had to ask some favours, and nothing was too much trouble. Generous breakfast... well worth the cost. This hotel is owned and operated by a family... and it shows. Huge room. Quiet location. Beautiful garden, with chairs, covered area, tea/coffee (and probably more!) service. --- I won't look at other places to stay on any future visit to Deva.

The hotel is an excellent position in a silent neighbourhood near the city center (5 minutes walking distance from the pedestrian zone). Spotlessly clean both room and bathroom. Good buffet breakfast in the morning with both sweet and savory food (we even had hot, freshly baked croissant). And the hostess is very fluent in Italian, which is a plus for us :-) Nice and big garden with amazing view of Deva fortress.

Comfortable bed. Good shower pressure and temperature. Hotel grounds are very pleasant. Big - too big- portion sizes in restaurant. Excellent ciorba with mushrooms. Good wine. Quiet area but rapidly being developed.
