Fundata is one of those rare places where time slows down and nature takes center stage. Nestled at 1,360 meters, it’s the highest village in Romania, and you feel that altitude in the crisp air, sweeping views, and peaceful silence. It’s ideal for anyone craving a break from city chaos. Fundata is remote, but manageable. If you’re driving, the roads are winding but scenic. Public transport is limited, so a car is highly recommended. This place it's like heaven, quiet, green, peaceful. It is perfect though you are going with your family or friends or you just want to relax and run away from the crowd of the cities. The pensiune was alone without any neighbours except the cows and horses ;-) This also meant we we not bothered by partiers. We had to go to Moieciu de Sus for hiking trails. The views are spectacular and you will use up all the memory on your camera! It was not as convenient to get to the store to get some last minute things or, as I mentioned, get to hiking trails. We did not find any restaurants there and only one small convenience store which is in Fundata proper, not where we stayed. The views of the mountains, hills and trees are second to none! You do not need to hike to see the mountains, just look out your window or go out your door. Very peaceful and quiet. A great place to go to relax.Guest review by21MikeRORomania
