FAQs about hotels in Singapore

Asia in a Compact Package

Clean, compact and compelling, Singapore seamlessly combines the best of Asia. Different cultures and cuisines live side by side, whilst maintaining their own identity.

Behind the bright lights of Chinatown is great value dim sum, while Little India is a sensation for the senses. Wander past the pastel-painted facades of Malay-dominated Geylang Seari for a taste of days gone by, then stop off at the Colonial-style Raffles Hotel, birthplace of the Singapore Sling cocktail.

For a retreat from the hustle and bustle, take the cable car to the sandy beaches of Sentosa, an island just south of the city centre. Also here is Universal Studios Singapore, a theme park brimming with the magic of the movies.

As you’d expect from the host of the world’s only Formula 1 night race, once night falls, Singapore is still very much alive. Its Night Safari is a zoo offering the rare chance to see nocturnal animals going about their business.

Although small enough to see on foot, Singapore has an efficient public transport system which extends as far as Singapore Changi Airport. With a choice of Singapore accommodation ranging from budget hostels to luxury hotels, Booking.com is bound to have the right choice for your holiday.

I liked how systems were efficient and flawless.

I liked how systems were efficient and flawless. However, I was subjected to open racist discrimination in the Carlsberg pub along Geylang. They refused to serve me a beer because I wasn't Chinese! I thought that was quite unfortunate.

What an amazing place to visit!

What an amazing place to visit! We spent 5 days here and could have spent longer! Absolutely loved gardens by the bay. The cloud forest is a must to see. Universal Studios is a smaller park but worth a visit. MRT is so easy to use and so well priced. If you are mobility challenged use a taxi they are also reasonably priced. Would definitely go back!

Singapore is one of the most expensive cities to come to visit. Unless you come from a country that has a stronger currency than Singapore, I would not recommend staying longer than 3 nights. The city is small, but has great hawker stalls and shopping. The most that you could do as a tourist is to visit Universal Studios, their Flower Dome and Cloud Forest, and to see the Merlion and Sentosa Island. If you've got even more money to blow, their hotels are great, but if not, head to Malaysia.

Lau Pa Sat have literally everything that Singapore have to offer. Lot's of photobooth that you must try when you travel as a couples, capture your memories in a handy photo strip which will last forever.

Considering how expensive hotels in general are in Singapore nowadays i was most glad to find this budget hotel in the Geylang area and also within walking distance of the Aljunied MRT Station. There are plenty of places to go to eat in this area and i really enjoyed admiring the many old shophouses in the whole Geylang area. I slept really well here for a reasonable price (for Singapore). Recommended.
