This hotel exceeded all my expectations. Its fantastic and secure location, right in the heart of Dakar's downtown, makes it perfect for exploring the city. The staff (from the reception and restaurant to housekeeping)went above and beyond to ensure a wonderful stay, even helping us deal with a taxi driver who tried to overcharge us. Their friendly and attentive service made all the difference. Breakfast was great. The restaurant offers a variety of cold options and allows customers to order eggs made to their liking. It is also open late and serves meals throughout the day if needed. Overall, this hotel is a true gem in the vibrant hub of Dakar. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for comfort, convenience, and outstanding service!

Everything! The bungalow was nice and clean, the whole venue and it’s facilities were great. A nice sized gym and also a pool to take a dip in. The customer service was excellent (especially thanks to Joe) and every meal we ate there was very delicious. All in all I would stay there again many times over if I return to Dakar.

I would recommend this place for anyone to stay at. The staff were exceptionally helpful especially for me as an English speaker. They went above and beyond to help me get cabs and navigate the city. The rooftop restaurant has a really nice vibe and the food is good and reasonably priced. My room was clean with great air conditioning. The room was fully enclosed, so no bugs and the hot water was great. Breakfast included with the price of the room was good with a fair amount of food options. I felt safe and wasn't concerned about my belongings when I left. They have a beautiful courtyard in the centre of the building and I woke up to the most beautiful sounds of birds singing in the trees. My only disappointment was that I couldn't stay at casa mara for my whole trip as they were fully booked. Just a note that they do not accept credit card for payment. They like to receive payment in XOF. If you have a busy work schedule, it is better to change your money at the airport before arriving to the hotel if you won't have extra time (the rates were comparable to on the street). Going to the bank to change money was time consuming!

I have travelled a lot to many countries in Africa, Asia, Europe, etc. Dakar/Senegal is one of my favorite places to visit. I love the ambiance of the people. It's Africa not Europe, so if you love culture, people and good food Dakar is a good choice in West Africa.

Dakar is a very beautiful city surrounded by the ocean. There are so many places to visit; the islands, the monument, the beaches, the fast foods, etc. As a solo traveler, I was scared at first of the risk I took to visit these places alone, but I quickly realized how friendly the people of Dakar are. There are also many foreigners there and that was a relief.

Beautiful city, lots of new development.

Beautiful city, lots of new development. Very expensive for entertainment, eating and drinking out. People are friendly, warm and welcoming. I visited Goree Island, great experience. Ngor Island is also beautiful, 5-minute boat ride, rustic with beach bars and bon fires in the evening.

A nice natural city, and very warm people but ready to over charge the tourist. Being Nigerian, I was ready for the haggle :) I found it quite easy to move around. Visiting Goree Island is a must but the ferry managers need to improve their ticketing processes and leverage on technology. In summary, we had to stand/sit under the sun for 3½ hours to buy the tickets. My advice, be there for 9am.

Today is the 20th of February. Been here since the 14th. I requested private room and to pay for one month. Yesterday and today the private room was given to someone else last night and tonigh. I paid. My family agreed I could stay in private room until 14th March. Many men in dormitory, I do not sleep there . I slept at my work. We thought we could pay tonight for the period until 14 March. Earlier today Sonu promis to give discount for tthe private room until March 14 that period.i Pay in advance to reserve.

This is a very comfortable hotel in the middle of a lovely area in Dakar - Mermoz - from where it is easy to catch a taxi to wherever you need to go. For example, it is about 15 minutes drive from the University (depending on traffic). The staff are lovely and were very tolerant of my non-existent French. My flight time changed due to a transit delay and they were easily able to accommodate a time change to the taxi that they had arranged for me. The wifi was excellent - I was able to attend an online meeting with no problems.

I am definitely staying here everytime I visit Dakar. The staff was incredible, friendly and available to help with just about anything. A very big shout out and Thank you, to Thérèse at reception. She really went above and beyond. And the best part? The food!!! I absolutely enjoyed everything I ate. 5 stars.

Nyeleni Maison was exactly what I was looking for in Dakar. A lovely blend of kindness, art, and nature which created a home away from home in Senegal. I loved being able to come back from the buzz in Dakar to sit and watch the birds outside, read the books or just play Scrabble.

Great location! Right opposite Ngor Island and it's also easy to visit all the attractions in Dakar from the hotel. The staff in reception and at the restaurant were very kind. The pool was amazing and it had access to the beach as well.
