It was my second time there. Supe good quality/price, the bed are comfy, and the owners are always very nice (We were trying to get a taxi or Uber for El Sunzal when they showed up for a check-in, and Andres offered to take us there with his car!). First time as a solo female traveler, and second time with another female friend. Felt super safe both times, the neighborhood is quiet, and people are lovely. There is a small store on the corner for water, juice, or snacks (which you can keep in the small commune kitchen at the hostal), and a few pupuserias/restaurants around to fill your bellies and enjoy real local food and vibe. 🤙

The apartment was spacious and clean, the hosts were responsive and helpful. The apartment is near a main road but bedrooms are at the back and the beds are comfy, we slept well for the duration of our stay There is also a lovely pool which is a great bonus very clean and great to cool off A heads up there is no hot water in the apartment when we stayed, I believe from speaking with the owner there are plans to have hot water soon so might be worth checking before booking. Kitchen could benefit from some more cutlery and a kettle. Also just to note that el tunco 'town' is 5-10 min walk away, the only route we could see was on the main road which doesn't have lights or pedestrianised.

    The room was great!

    The room was great! Being able to go to the pool or just walk down to the beach was awesome. There’s great restaurants in the area and a grocery store near the villas as well that is within walking distance. We had a great experience and wish we could’ve stayed longer, will definitely return.

    Amazing place and a must visit in El Salvador.

    Amazing place and a must visit in El Salvador. Easily one of my favorite countries now. There was so much to do and I feel like I didn't scratch the surface. In the area there are many tours and things to do and Ubers are super cheap so renting a car wasn't at all necessary for us but it is an option if you plan on doing longer day trips. Plenty of parking at the hotels if need be.
