Since more than 20 years I will stay only at this nice and wonderful hotel, when I am in Chiang Khong. The owners are very lovely and helpful, organize whatever you need to stay comfortable, clean rooms with an astonishing view to the Mekong river and Laos on the other side. A big balcony to enjoy the evening time. 10 out of 10 points 👍 Always happy to stay here for 1 or more nights 👌

Very clean and comfortable stay. The place is full of green, well looked after and has a huge swimming pool (25m). The owner is very friendly and looked after our well being all the time. On request you get a delicious dinner and breakfast. The hotel is a little outside of town but has a quick access to the Mekong boardwalk and from there it is a beautiful walk along the river. A must do!

The staff. The food. The peaceful location. We felt so good and so welcome that we prolonged two more nights. The atmosphere is super in nature surroundings. They helped arrange a nice day excursion to the Golden Triangle.

Simply amazing for a night's stay after a long travel day and crossing the border. The host picked us up from the border free of charge and dropped us off at the bus station in town the next day. The restaurant was closed when we arrived, but his wife made us a delicious Thai dinner. The rooms are very comfortable and clean, so we cannot recommend this place enough.

Chiang Khong,lovely and great place. Very authentic border city. Can enjoy beatiful nature also(mountains and forests.) and can visit mountain villages,have beatiful handcrafts to purchase. Made by village people ,(not mass production or cheap copies) Can not find anywhere else.

A great city to do a border run, particularly if you stay at Fortune Riverview Hotel Chiang Khong - which seems to be the nicest accommodation in the area. We enjoyed our stay here quite a bit and would return.

Chiang Khong, a lovely little town next to the river.

Chiang Khong, a lovely little town next to the river. Views are amazing and the food is good. It is not very big so staying for an extended time may be dull for some. Great for relaxing and quiet. Excellent for walking and/or riding bicycles.

I liked to have riverview.

I liked to have riverview. We had two single beds that we rearranged such that they were mire close to eachother. Not perfect but ok. For one person the bed was too hard, for the other it was good. Was great to be on the (small) balcony to look at the river, but there were no seats. I used the pool, but at the time of the day the two high building on the side avoided all sunshine to warm up the water. We also had to use our own towels from the room, one per person. Checkout was fast without checking the room. Few hours after we left, we were in Chiang Rai already, staff called us that they we left behind a watch. They agreed to send it to our home in Chiang Mai. Great service that we really appreciate.

This is the best run hotel we have stayed in over 2 1/2 months in SE Asia. Everything was perfect. Mai was awesome, the chef is an excellent cook, the restaurant has a chilled vibe, the pedestrianised riverwalk into town along the Mekong was a great stroll, the town is good. We originally booked for 2 nights and stayed for five but could have stayed longer. If you want a quiet and small Thai run place to recharge this is it. We loved Baan Sakuna, Mai and Chiang Khong.

Everything. For the price value, you definitely get so much. The bed was comfortable, the hot shower was awesome, the WiFi worked well, the staff was so nice and friendly. Despite the location being a bit far from the city, pick up point by the bus from Chiang Khong and drop off to Immigration was extremely helpful and easy. Would stay here again

Super warm welcome from reception. Room was spotless & overlooking the river. Magnificent views of Laos and the Meakong River Breakfast there wasn’t much choice and everything was cold. The hotel is located about a 10-minute walk from the bus station. There isn’t much going on in Chiang Khong but we found this hotel to be close to bars and eateries while also being secluded from the main road through the town. Staff were friendly upon arrival. The pool is lovely and clean and is regularly maintained.

Hotel located at the riverside with the best view there is. There is an infinity pool overlooking the river. Bungalows are spacious, each with a balcony. The Breakfast was delicious with a big variety of food to choose from.
